2023 Lincoln Aviator | Learn everything about the 2023 Aviator

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Jet Package in the Aviator looks sharp! When you pair that with either the black or white exterior it really makes this luxury SUV pop. Under the hood of the 2023 Lincoln Aviator you're going to find the 3.0L turbocharged engine, with the option for a plugin hybrid that introduces a nano electric motor that greatly improves the performance.
The Aviator is relatively unchanged from the 2022 to the 2023 model. There are a few color changes, LED fogs being optional across some trims and the option to have the HUD removed at the factory. In this video you're going to learn everything that you need to know about the Lincoln Aviator. I take you through the exterior features, interior tech and so much more!

    I’ve watched a bunch of videos, as I am nearing a decision on buying the black label. I saw the car in person yesterday and was apprehensive because of the electric door issue. Just felt like it was a safety hazard. After watching roughly 15-videos, yours is the first that actually addresses my concern. Very well done. Thorough yet quick.

    Thanks Akintunde! That's a tricky choice - the Grand Cherokee Summit trim would be pretty loaded in comparison. The Aviator is on track to get an upgrade, just not sure if it's coming in the 2024 or 2025 model though. The newer Aviator should have a redesigned interior and the better Sync4 media screen when it does get the upgrade though.

    Great review Steve. My and I have wondered why Lincoln would give every other SUV in its lineup Sync 4 before what we consider to be their best vehicle. My wife has wanted one since it debuted, but has passed on it each model year because the Sync 4 in her Bronco with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play is worth the rough ride. And to think the Aviator was just launched in 2020. Sync 3 never belonged in this vehicle with all its promise. I do have a question. How do you send navigation directions from your cell phone using the Ford/Lincoln App to the navigation screen? We have vehicles with both Sync 3 and 4 and it does not work as advertised.

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks Brandon! Haha, I was thinking the same thing about the media screen. Sync4 was a concept when the Aviator was first launched so it makes sense that it wasn't launched with it available. I'm hoping that we'll see it in the 2024 model though! I haven't played around with the Lincoln Way app much but it's on the list of videos to shoot over the next few weeks. I'll make sure to add in a quick look at the nav pushing between the app and car

    Great video - I have a Black Lable - very similar. Question, do you know how the Noise Cancelation works ? For example - what are the small screens in the roof above each of the 4 seats ? It is about 4" by 2" ? Is there anyway to see if Noise cancelation is working ?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks! The noise cancellation in Lincoln vehicles works a bit differently than ANC in headphones.. In cars it uses the microphones in the cabin to pick up noises and then sends opposing sound waves that cancels it out or reduces the noise you hear. It's an always on feature! The Black Label has the upgraded 28 speaker Revel audio system, so I believe the panels you're talking about are just speakers!

    Exquisite details, Steve. A lot to like but those shiny chrome buttons and toggles look super cheap IMO. Why not give them a satin finish? It would look much more elegant. I think the TV I had in college was about the size of that dash display. Too big for the dash of an auto.

    @@CarsWithSteve thanks! Looking forward to the updates for 24 as well. My wife really wants a Black Label. Also while Sync 4 is much better than Sync 3, we have lost the the ability to rewind live radio. Sync 4 only allows you to skip segments or start a show over (still pretty cool) Also gone is the ability to get fuel prices, movie showtime and theater information, weather, and sports scores all in one place. The updates to the 2023 Corsair look promising, so I'm assuming Hands Free driving is also coming to the Aviator. I have Blue Cruise in my 2021 F150 Limited and I am enjoying it. Shifter - looks cheap. I miss the column on the 2016 MKZ and MKC. The side by side buttons already look dated and old. It's like they are designing for a retirement home. Media Screen - I hate the Ipad look.... the old layout looked remarkably better! Ambient Lighting - the animation is trash, I miss the circle animation Adjusting the seat on the door vs the side of the seat - ergonomically annoying Armrest - should slide forward and backwards Panoramic Sunroof - You should be able to open and close it all the way with a double press Steering wheel - the buttons look terrible, clicking the button to see the buttons is annoying, it should have heat sensing so when I swipe it it should automatically show the buttons. Then you can only push the buttons from the back, that's irritating! I'd like to be able to at minimum be able to press from both sides as I prefer to press buttons from the front. I HATE the video-game thumb joysticks on the steering wheel it looks so dated! The voice button is annoying. I liked it better when it was reachable with my thumb at the bottom of the steering wheel. If they threw this away and brought back the 2016 steering wheel I'd be so Happy! Volume knobs - I miss the sliders from the 2016 as well AC vents - because of the ugly Ipad cheap looking screen (copying everyone else rather than remaining Lincoln) they have to use small ugly air vents. If they brought back the previous screen the vents looked alot better. The up and down rocker for the temp looks cheap!!! Cup holders - they brought back the 2011 cup holder cover!!!! They look terrible and dated! I'm so mad about this. The cover that hides them away looks terrible... The knob to change drive modes looks like they are copying so many other manufacturers... I don't even like that placement. I prefer changing the driving mode via the steering wheel. There's a sport button on the column shifter. Then you can control Comfort or Excite mode via the steering wheel. I've been waiting 3 years to buy a new car... they keep screwing things up and making cars worse... I've been wanting a Lincoln but if they don't fix things I'll have to buy from somewhere else. They use the same cheap looking Ipad as everyone else... so there's not much keeping me with them at this point. They don't understand their sales numbers would have been better if they simply hired better marketing people. Their commercials never sold the car, they think McConnahey in front of a cow is going to make young people run out and love the beautiful designs of Lincoln, or will they continue thinking it's an old persons car.... So the design team takes the fall and begins making unnecessary changes when they should have simply put the designs like the column shifter and the center storage on the MKZ.

    Marketing cars has always been interesting.. I don't get why most manufacturers think that the old school TV ads have any impact on people's purchasing decisions. It makes me shake my head when I see how much they spend on campaigns like that vs utilizing real world marketing like the videos put out on KZread/social media The Aviator should be going through a shakeup in either 2024 or 2025 as it moves into electrification. Haven't seen any of the mockups yet but if you look at the Lincoln USA website, check out the Star concept. It's most likely going to look like that on the refresh

    Get with the times Marcus. I know you think everything has to remain similar to your boomer generation. Unfortunately for you, it’s called evolution, produced by million dollar minds and engineers. Sorry MARCUS, but everything you complained about is actually better than your plastic behind the steering wheel buttons.

    Still that same shitty Sync3. It is hot garbage. Nice car though.

    It's not that bad but definitely needs to get the Sync4 upgrade. I think Lincoln may hold off until for Sync4 Android OS to upgrade, so most likely 2024/2025 model

    I have sync 3 in f150 and it is awful. Glitchy, slow to process, all out failure (I e start the car and it doesn't turn on until turning the car off and back on). It's the one thing holding me back on this car
