I have had the Diesel GT Sportage for almost a year now and I love it! My only issue is with the sensitivity of the steering wheel hands off alert. If I am lightly holding the wheel I get the alarm. Next service I will ask if they can reduce the sensitivity. But outside of this if you are thinking of buying a Sportage you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you so so much information on the back seat. It is so annoying looking for cars only to figure out there’s no way your kids can fit in there. It is so much easier when people just let us know on these reviews before we go in and get excited about them!

To turn off the lane departure warning just press and hold the relevant botton on the steering wheel

I would rather hear the motor and what it sounds apposed to the music, just some feedback

Cost of serving Sportage diesel is class leading too. The average cost works out to be $530 per serving vs Rav4 hybrid $260. Even cost of serving new Ford everest is cheaper than the Sportage

Great car, pitty you can get one! Got told 6 months delivery when I ordered, that was nearly 12 months ago and still waiting. When you ring Kia customer service (the dealer has no info) and you get the "it's not in production yet, give us a call in 4-6 weeks and check again." No we are really sorry we miscalculated the lead time, just big deal mate, next please! if they treat there customer's like this now image what its going to be like when something goes wrong witht the car and the replacement parts are unavailable.

I have a 2022 LX 2.0 turbo diesel 4 wd , the only thing I hate is the Lane assist ( find it dangerous ) which I switch off always . .... further it's my 4 th Kia diesel now nearly 40K on the clock "average" fuel 5.8 - 6.3 /100

I watched this "review" of the all wheel drive model and the nearest it got to going off road was a bit of mowed grass.

would you review the Sportage Hybrid anytime soon please ? It has released already in Aus but can't seem to see any review to it

In 2016 I bought a brand new Kia Sportage diesel. I loved it and owned it for 7 years without a problem. This year (2023) I bought another brand new Sportage. Big disappointment! The new 8 speed automatic is very bad. It ums and aahs and fumbles around. It is a few inches longer. Great. But the turning circle has gone from very good to very very bad. There probably are trucks and buses with smaller turning circles. Even pulling into carparks at shopping centres is problematic. After four months of ownership, I sold it to a dealer and I have bought a VW Tiguan R. I know it is much more expensive than the Sportage, but it is way, way better!

Would you recommend the SX+ turbo or just the normal SX+?

It depend how you'll be using your car. If most of your driving is around town, the petrol SX+ will be more than fine, if you life in an area with poor weather, plan on towing from time-to-time, or do country driving with a need for a but of overtaking urge, the SX+ turbo might be a better option.

Interested what the vision is like from a drivers point of view?

I am a big fan of the Kia rebrand. Kia has gone from daggy and boring to fresh, sleek and stylish.

@@3lions1976 the only question will be if Kia and Hyundai have improved their mechanical reliability. Only time will tell, but the 7 year unlimited km warranty is also an excellent advantage over their competitors.

So funny.... Here in Europe we don't have a diesel Sportage. Diesels are banned here.... Such crazy times with all those climate hippies.

Well, actually we do have, specifically 1.6 crdi mhev with 100 kw, depending on the country. But you are right, even in my country it is slowly being removed from the offer.
