I got to experience the interior of this guy at a local auto show. I was expecting to love the sportage, but this one took the cake for me. As a short woman, the visibility in this is incredible and it feels so spacious for a such a compact vehicle.

From London ON to Cali! Love it! Keep up the good work you'll be traveling around the world soon doing these can't wait!

One of my neighbors has this is a gloss blue type of color. Darkish blue but still clearly blue. Looks pretty solid. I'm not big on the rear end styling but the interior is next generation Kia, thus really nice. Better interior than the new Prius. That's for sure.

Got a 23 EX and have had it for almost 10k miles now. Averaging 50-55 (sometimes 60 during heavy traffic). Transitioned fairly easy being an ICE hypermiler with my previous car. Car isn't the fastest but I like how smooth and comfortable it runs for my mostly speed limit driving. The Adaptive cruise and lane assist pretty much do most of the driving and helps plenty with my daily 90 mile commute to save my knees.

We have a 2023 Niro HEV SX Touring in Mineral Blue and we have the black aeroblade so you can get it in other colors then just green. Although we live in North Carolina so who knows. We love the car by the way. It is great on the road and in town.

They’re killing it with styling, tech, and price. They are not doing so well with engine/transmission problems. They’re still having DCT problems. I’d really like one of these but unless it’s the EV, I worry about long term use.

I have a Kia Niro HEV, exactly like the one in this video, but mine had both the household plug AND the heated seats in the back. So they can come with this car, it's just optional.

The 2023 is my 2nd Niro (1st was a 2018). I like the new one (slightly) better, but the question is: Is it better than the EV? In my opinion, yes. No infrastructure issues or range anxiety, lighter weight, less expensive repairs in the long run, better ride (higher tire sidewall with smaller wheels plus lighter weight makes for better ride), and up-front cost is at least 25% less. Yes, it burns some fossil fuel, but not much of it, and many interior materials are environmentally-friendly. Payback time for the difference between the HEV and the EV is measured in years. I considered all three power trains at length, did a LOT of reading, read and watched a lot of reviews, and for me, the HEV makes the most sense. EV is a distant 2nd, PHEV 3rd.

The Niro HEV is the way to go, no charging nonsense. I did a test drive of this car at my local Kia dealer, i really enjoyed this car. I opted for the Niro HEV "pulse" line (trim 3) as my company car and it does come with the 230V socket in the back and leather seats. Im told to wait 12months for the delivery which is really long but thats how it is nowadays

The Hybrid makes way more sense....

Putting turn signals in the bumper is STUPID. Places where it gets snowy or icy: tailgaters slide into you, and suddenly you’re looking at $4000 to have working turn signals. Oh, and piano black is just something to cause glaring reflections inside. Otherwise, I might give it a look.

I found there is a rear facing indicator LED on the wing mirrors outmost point, if you can see the mirrors you can see the indicator. But I do agree that low in rear is facing a threat from damage

Due to demand,Kia dealars forcing to buy their protection policy with additional $3000😢. Protection policy is worthless

Hybrid over EV unless you like driving longer distances (beyond local city driving) and you like sitting at a charging station for 45 minutes to charge your battery to 80% to be able to drive another 150 to 200 miles to be able to sit and charge again. 🤔

It’s about use case. For me, the family already has an ICE car. We use that to travel. For literally the other 99.9% of the year, I’m just going to work or taking the kids to nearby activities. The EV is a quieter, smoother ride, is recharged at home nightly, and has no dual clutch transmission, a known issue with Kias they have yet to resolve. That’s troublesome., despite their warranties they don’t care to honor all the time.

Agreed, I rented a EV6 that charge time is a killer of time.... Hybrid makes way more sense....

Is Toyota Prius is the king of hybrid? How is kia one ? I'm planning to get hybrid this year. Since gas is crazy expensive.

I've had four KIA's and loved them all. EXCEPT that with the 2023 Niro EX, the door button on the driver's side does not work consistently. It is frustrating as hell constantly pressing the button over and over. I took it to the dealer 3x and they really gave me the run around and lectured me it was my fault--knowing damn well that this has been a known problem since at least 2017. Basically, KIA refuses to support the dealership with this issue. This leads me to wonder what else is instore. Aside from that I've been very, very, happy with all my KIA purchases and good quality. So far.

I know it's probably too late to care, but the LX (lowest trim) with the smaller 8 inch screen uses the old Kia software and lets you use that stuff via Bluetooth

no Kia or Hyundai cars do unless they don't have the wireless charging pad, so basically poverty spec get it, but any trim higher than that don't. it makes zero sense.

Every Kia dealer here in Europe told us that it will take about 12 months for it to be delivered. I think it will also take that long for you.

It's a shame about the Niro but I have decided to cancel my order and in the process lose my deposit of £500. Just can't put my life on hold while I wait for a new car and lose out on the part exchange price of my current car. If Kia UK don't sort their supply issues out they will lose custom at a fast rate of knotty no matter how good the cars are.

yep. same when I enquired. I was also told that any stock cars they have from cancelled orders etc get sent back to Korea as Kia refuse to allow any UK dealerships to keep any new cars. wtf.

There is a "smart tailgate" option in the settings. When ON a walk away from the car to do shopping and return to the back of the car with the key in your pocket the car will detect the key and open rear.

Toyota corolla, hybrid allows you to sit higher up, and it has more headroom.

Very bad hvac control system : not intuitive and forced to take your eyes off the road to adjust it

I booked Yaris hybrid and then when i did test drive for Niro Hybrid i cancel the Yaris hybrid and bought Niro Hybrid. Much better than Yaris and very comfortable and smooth driving with excellent Mileage. Hope it helps you.

My 3 kids fit in the back ok. One in car seat, another in booster and last just got out of booster. It's not the roomiest after they are all back there but they do fit.

Excessive hand movements. You can convey much information and reaction even with lesser hand gestures

EV is literally the best version of any car. EV is the way to go! More powerful, efficient, and way cleaner.

While the EV owners are searching for a place to charge on the road I'll be waving bye as I race past with another 200 miles range (500 miles range) on gas alone and then a 5 min stop for a short fillup. I love my 2024 NIRO SX in Steele gray
