I beg to differ when you mention that it might be difficult to follow friends with GS's and Ducati multisrada's. I managed well with the Verysys 1000 SE 2024 and averaged 170 kms on the autostrada in the good company of GS's just to mention one type of bike. Actually well torqued on 6th gear and picks up speed easily.

I meant when you are driving on a curvy mountain road with lots of tight corners, the Multistradas and GS’s of this world will be quite a lot quicker because of the extra torque/power. Obviously on a highway there aren’t going to be big differences, but in a real world fun drive in the mountains there will be quite some differences. I really liked riding the smooth engine of the Versys but it’s just not as powerful as a lot of the more expensive bikes, which makes sense if you look at the price tags.

@@ChasingCurves. I would agree with you on that. Having said that I would then try it on sport mode if not already done.

Sure, but the Versys remains 102Nm and a modern GS has 149Nm, that’s just too much of a difference when both putting the hammer down. Sure, if you are just touring it all doesn’t really matter. It’s just with some spirited riding that you will notice the difference.

Je samenvatting op het einde is "er boenk op" zoals ze bij ons zeggen. Rijd zelf de Versys en ben er hèèl tevreden mee.

Hello, I really liked the video, new subscriber. Did you notice heat in the legs of the Versys engine?

Thanks for subscribing! I didn’t notice any heat from the engine on my legs. Next week there will be another video of the Versys on this channel :)

I own a 2022. To be honest the heat is there on lower ight leg from exhaust headers but is only an issue when moving in slow traffic and when temps are above 85F.
