Nice video. My local dealer wanted 600 to do that "assembly" work and wouldn't budge on that cost. Crazy stuff. That's why I buy used.

I stopped by my local Kawasaki shop today. They had the same bike setting on the floor. It's even better in person.
The colour combos in the US seem better than the UK ones !!

Well it’s even nicer in person I dig that color scheme. All these street Rossi’s complaining it’s slow and they’ll never buy less than a litter bike . News flash for you kids smaller bike with experienced rider will beat you every time on backroads

No idea. Google the specs, you should be able to find it.
Unrestricted Horsepower on that Ninja650 is 67 and the skilled riders do a 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds.Made note of the Original Bike Spirits Product.

@@trippontwowheels so its safe to say dealer prep could be 1 hr labor at 140/hr then... negotiated... lol no need to respond. great vid. I have a Katana and am looking at this one for an economical commuter.
Just got mine home 10 min ago! Love it- kind of disappointed in the break in procedure - no more than 4k RPMS for 250 miles. The no more than 6k until 600miles = 😳 If you ride. Then you know.

The difference between breaking it in right and breaking it. Oil change on my buddies Ducati and chunks of piston skirt are coming out with the oil. Ducati dealership hooked it up to the computer and laughed at him. Guess who was out of pocket for a new engine

Because it’s made in either Thailand or Japan but for the North American market, not the local market.
Nice bike, but for my taste if I wanted this engine I would go for the Versys. Interesting to see how they are shipped.

Yes, to me anyhow. It’s more of a multi-purpose bike and better suited for my riding. Not a big fan of the crotch rocket myself.

It is pretty crazy, most stealerships base it on CC not the actual work that goes into it. The 650 definitely doesn't need $500 worth of assembly, lol. But it's like an extended warranty, pure profit for the stealer.

The bikes are made and shipped from Thailand. Crates probably weigh 50+ lbs. Would cost hundreds of dollars per crate. All are much better served by them being recycled in the destination country. Thanks for your comment Road Rash, hope you subscribe! -Tripp

Also factor in that tech is trained and it takes the average tech an hour or more to make it happen. You're also paying for the crate. Still, steep but not as bad when you consider those things.

That color on a sportbike must be what color blind people see when they look at anything. Also, why does the registration plate thingy stick out so far? That looks super weird.
