Amazing job man. I really appreciate your effort. Your content helped me a lot, while buying a car last year. And I ended up with 22 IS 350 with Mark Lev sound system. I am not sound beast person but great sound system make a huge difference on a long trip experience for sure. Alot of other car reviewer don't go in deep with the Audio and other components that you do. Really loving your content. Keep up the good work.

I REALLY appreciate you doing this video. I'm currently looking into a new CR-V and the Bose is a make a break deal for me, coming from a 13' CX-5 with Bose that I really enjoy. I'd still like to hear the system in person, but this video is really impressive. Seems like the CR-V Bose is a solid contender.

I think, after watching dozens of reviews and reviewers reviewing the 23 CRV, you did the best, hands down. Agreable speech, and you also covered items that none of the other reviewers did. Thank you! Now inquiring minds wonder: what happens when one has a flat tire and there is no spare tire? Gas tank capacity and cruising range? 0-60 and 60-0, Finally life expectancy and cost of the lithium battery. Thank you again.

Thanks for doing that audio demo. Great job! I've ordered the 2023 Pilot Elite and I'm assuming that it will be a very similar sound system as it is also a 12 speaker Bose premium audio system. Do you know how many watts are driving that system? Do you know if you can plug in an an iPod for audio and still use the wireless CarPlay for navigation? I've been using an old iPhone with a music app that has an equalizer to tweak my 2016 Pilot Elite audio system. It REALLY helps the sound quality.

You're welcome, and thanks! Bose doesn't publish wattage for any of their systems, so your guess is as good as mine. You can likely plug in the iPod and have it work as a USB storage device while you're using CarPlay. Hopefully it works!

Have you tested the 2024 crv sport L? Heard it's an upgrade over regular sport.

The Honda CRV was always one of my favorite Small SUVs, but only one thing kept leading me away from it - the bad audio system! Now that it has a BOSE sound system, and 12 speakers at that, (with ones in the d pillars), I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Most small SUVs don't have d pillar speakers or rear door tweeters!

I 100% agree, that was holding back the CR-V compared to the Rav4 JBL or the CX-5 Bose being significantly better, now with the Bose system being offered in the CR-V it’s nice to finally get a good stereo in the CR-V. The CR-V is the best imo especially if you want the most cargo & interior space compared to the other 2. I’ve also heard that the CR-V is much better inside compared to the Rav4 with it being more insulated too.

They have Bose, but no high resolution audio source is recognized, except go Sirius. It seems that that this is the problem with Bose.

@@MrNathan07tell me if you find out if any USB CD player can be used. Or even what file formats are recognized by the USB drive. This is not an issue with the regular audio system.

It happens to a lot more high end audio system too even the Bluetooth was only AAC codec and not even LDAC/Aptx HD and high end DAC, that's why they need a lot of DSP to processing​@@johanneskreisler7647

Ooo glad to find audio reviews! Trying to decide between a touring or ex-l Pilot. Are you doing a review on those? The sound system has a huge impact on my decision. I wonder how much better the Bose is to the ex-l system? If the 2023 exl sounds like the 2022 pilot touring system, it’s a no go 😆

We'll be testing them in the next few months! But yeah, if you care about audio at all, I would highly recommend stepping up to the Bose. It's been a big improvement over standard Honda audio in their other new models.

A lot of information, but the main question is what files are recognized on the USB drive? It seems that no USB CD player works on it. Also no way to play CD files through USB, even FAT32.

Are there specific settings that you would recommend for the best listening experience?

Start with flat EQ and make little tweaks from there. Sound engineers design systems to sound "best" at flat EQ.

How does the Bose sound system compare to the Acura 7 speaker premium audio system? I have a 2016 Acura RDX that is getting up there on miles and I want to get a reasonably priced hybrid next and I'm choosing between a 2023 Honda Cr-v Sport Touring and the 2023 Toyota rav4 hybrid xse.

Any improvement on the CRV sport hybrid radio is a hugely welcome. The radio on that model is quite frankly terrible. The hybrid CRV is a nice foundation for a car radio since the new CRV is the quietest ever.

the bose sound is nice for sure but I refuse to pay for a top level trim honda even though I love them. 🤣 at that point for the price i'd just put in a little more and get an acura. the sound on the base model hybrid sport sounds fine enough to me.

Hi. Anyone know what audio file formats this system can play. I have some 24-bit FLAC and DSD files and I wonder if they can be read via USB. Also, does it support hi-res Bluetooth codecs (aptX, LDAC, etc.)? Thank you.

Every car audio manufacturer doesn't support that except you change the head unit to other brands like kenwood, Alpine,Pioneer.

I really wish my 22 Accord touring came with the Bose…to put it in a 22 Civic touring and not an Accord is beyond me.

What you need to do is to put the bass volume all the way down in the EQ, then you need to put a external subwoofer and then you ll feel the diference…

i think those speakers needed to break in i just know it will be a big different when you run them long enough to have them all break in

@@lionintu not sure you just need to keep playing them back those days we have special CD with special tone to help them break in play something with heavy bass and that will speed things up

Not sure how the cx-30 bose got an A and this a B. I have the CX and my wife the crv. To me the crv is far more balanced using CarPlay lossless.

No acoustic windows anywhere this car was very loud inside I went with Nissan rogue

Good reviews, but it's a waste of gas to drive around playing stereos, since the mics don't seem to pick up much road noise.

@@LousyHealer13 The music effectively masks the road noise to my ears on good headphones. Most people doing a serious stereo listening test would probably sit still. I do get why he does it this way to show how you'd feel driving it.

That car is maybe worth 31k out the door. Worst value proposition ever in main stream automotive industry. You can get so much more, for so much less with every, single, manufacturer out there...

That is true unless you consider lifespan, reliability and repair costs. The only crossover currently more reliable is the Subaru crosstrek. Even the rav 4 has higher annual repair costs.

@@ChinBiter47 I doubt it. Honda reliability went down like crazy. Talking about this car, many people are reporting a dead computer after a few miles after purchase. And good luck getting Honda parts, they can't produce them.
