[연희그룹 '연화' (Yeonhee Group 'Yeonhwa')]
〈연화〉는 전통 기반의 연희, 기악을 중심으로 구성된 창작단체이다. 전통 장단과 선율, 호흡 등을 복원하고 개념 및 본질 탐구를 통한 전통연희의 현대적 창작에 대한 고민을 지속하고 있다. 타 분야 예술과의 협업을 중심으로 융복합예술 작품구축, 현대 연희 연출법 모색 등 보다 컨템포러리한 예술 작품을 구축해내어 다양한 관객층에게 접근성 있는 창작 연희를 제시하는 단체이다.
"Yeonhwa" is a creative performing arts group that focuses on traditional theater and instrumental music. They strive to restore traditional melodies, rhythms, and breathing techniques, while also exploring the concepts and essence of traditional theater through contemporary creations. The group is dedicated to exploring the recreation of traditional theater through collaborations with artists of other art forms. Their goal is to create contemporary performing arts, create interdisciplinary art works, and develop modern directing techniques in order to present accessible creative performances to diverse audiences.
[곡 소개 Work Description] - 흥취(Hungchwi)
‘청월에 놀다’ 〈흥취〉는 정월대보름날 행해졌던 우리나라 민속놀이와 축제를 가· 무·악으로 표현해낸 작품이다. 둥근 달 아래에서 서로의 손을 마주 잡고, 한마음으로 소원을 빌던 우리의 모습을 '연화'만의 풍류로 그려냈다. 풍물 장단에 새롭게 얹은 장타령과 무속 장단, 태평소 시나위 가락이 더해져 강렬하고 신명 나는 음악으로 흥을 표현했다.
"Playing under the Blue Moon" (Heungchwi in Korean) is a piece that portrays traditional Korean folk games and festivals, which took place on the day of the first full moon in the lunar calendar, through instrumental, vocal, and dance performances. It depicts our collective image of holding hands under the round moon and making wishes together, in the distinctive style of the performing art group 'Yeonhwa'. The lively and exhilarating music is expressed with the addition of new rhythms to the percussion ensemble, the integration of folk instrumental music and dance, and the incorporation of the melodies of Taepyeongso (traditional wind instrument).

〈신안 태평염전 Sinan Taepyeongyeomjeon〉
국가등록문화재인 이 염전은 한국전쟁 이후 피난민 구제와 국내 소금 생산 증대를 목적으로 건립하였다. 염전 영역에는 목조 소금 창고, 석조 소금 창고, 염부사, 목욕탕 등의 건축물이 있으며, 자연 생태의 갯벌, 저수지와 함께 천혜의 아름다운 경치를 이루고 있다.
This salt field, designated as a National Registered Cultural Heritage, was established with the purpose of providing relief for refugees and increasing domestic salt production after the Korean War. It forms a beautiful landscape of pristine tidal flats, reservoirs, and the surrounding natural ecology.
〈신안 태평염생식물원 Sinan Taepyeong Salt Marsh Plant Garden〉
유네스코 생물다양성보전지역으로 지정된 태평염생식물원은 1953년에 조성된 태평염전에 딸린 염전 습지로써 자연발생적인 다양한 동식물 생태계를 그대로 유지하고 있으며 국내에서는 유일하게 염전 습지의 생물상이 고스란히 보존된 생태습지이다.
Designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the Sinan Taepyeong Salt Marsh Plant Garden is a wetland area adjacent to the Taepyeong Salt Field, which was developed in 1953. It maintains a diverse ecosystem of naturally occurring flora and fauna, making it the only wetland in South Korea where the biological diversity of the salt marsh is fully preserved.
