Congrats !! I got my 2023 Lightning Pro fully loaded 12/23/2022, out the door with all the incentives and tax rebates was $47K 😮🎉 and this is THE MOST amazing vehicle I've ever owned, and I've owned some 20 cars and trucks so far... absolutely worth EVERY RED CENT 👌🙏🏻

Great review! Hoping to take delivery of my SR XLT in next few weeks. Great to hear confirmation of how well it does in winter driving as I live in Nebraska.

Loving my SR Lightning. Had mine since July 22' I haven't had a problem with range for how I use it. Your drive was beautiful with the hills and snow wow! Looking forward to seeing what you add to it, as well as the towing and transfer switch videos. I did that for mine and it does everything but my AC, oven and one wall of my garage. Be sure to get a neutral switching model like the Generac Homelink. A standard transfer switch will give you a ground fault due to the bonded neutral of the ProPower.

Thanks for watching we are lucky here in Utah we have some really beautiful drives and thanks for the advice on the transfer switch I would have probably bought the wrong one 😎👍

Love this. I have always liked your reviews. Was never a ford guy. GMC guy for the most part, but I got a ford focus st and love it. Working on my 1990 GMC K5 Jimmy right now for a trip to Moab in March!

Thanks for sharing this video. I like the drive demo. Since this was three months ago, do you have any updates on good or bad things and have you tried charging it at a public charging site yet? Cheers.

Yes, wish it had the bench seat in front but love the extra frunk storage! that’s one reason I never wanted to take our F150 on trips was because my duffel bags and everything had to go in the back since we fill up all the seats. Love that color!

Thanks for the comment Gwen. maybe someday they'll do a bench seat but the frunk is really cool. also I think you would love that it has all the power outlets so if you were camping or on the beach you could run whatever you wanted 😎👍

Looks great Brandon. Curious to see how well it did with your trailer. I'm assuming its the big enclosed one you had when we visited. By the way, we are starting to look for some property in the Great Utah.

I would've probably ordered an XLT or lariat if I would've gotten a reservation but I didn't so I was told whenever I was finally able to order one, that it could be as late as 2025 before I'd get one. I feel iwas lucky to purchase a mannequin at MSRP from my local dealer. Everything is much dancer than anything I would've ordered, but I've never been disappointed with my purchase.

The first receipt I've seen on a Lightning windshield replacement was from Safelite for just under $1350 for a non OEM glass ($740) and the balance was labor and calibrations. I've ~2400 miles on my Lightning ~36k miles on 3 Teslas. I bought the Lightning instead of paying for a rental while my Tesla is in the body shop (my fault). After having the Lightning for a month and a half, I'm very much looking forward to gettin my Tesla back, and very much looking forward to the Cyber Truck. The Lightning will be sold when my car comes back in a few weeks.

Thanks for the comment. I have researched prices on on the Ford lightning windshield that I have and it's between three and five hundred dollars. I do get a wholesale price because i'm in the business. I'm surprised you're so excited to get back in your model 3 to me it is the Honda Civic of electric cars super boring and everybody has one and it has no soul. As far as the cybertruck it sounds like a really cool truck. but I'm not very confident it'll get here anytime soon.

@@pmutah I’ve never had a Model 3, the Tesla in the shop is an X Plaid. Saying a Model 3 is a Honda Civic but an F150 is unique is an interesting take when you say the Lightning is a basic F150 with batteries and an electric motor. The X Plaid has ~600 more horsepower than my Lightning, but the Lightning is using 50% more power per mile. Autopilot on the Lighting lacks, and the charging network is comparatively non existent. My X uses ~25% more than my S Plaid. I haven’t researched windshield pricing, it’s irrelevant to me ($100 comprehensive deductible) but I have seen one Lightning windshield receipt. Having owned both, with the price drops I’d rather have a Model Y LR for $20k less than a Lariat Lightning for a run around vehicle. I may trade my Lightning towards a F250 if I don’t sell it outright.

Damn I like that color. I have a 2020 Lariat I’m going to trade in towards my XLT SR iconic silver Lightning. My iconic silver Lariat with all the chrome looks high end. I’m a little afraid my XLT Lightning in Iconic Silver and the black door handles and mirrors is going to look cheap. But the black with Azure looks great to me.

Awesome review. Very helpful. I've had one on order for nearly 2 yrs and I finally got an email from Ford to order. I was disappointed to see the dealer Is charging 10k over sticker. I'm wondering which dealer you used and did they charge over sticker?

@@duraflexllc4860 EV'S are definitely the future. At the present time, the charging infrastructure just isn't there yet. Chargers are located too far apart, aren't nearly enough of them, and the ones that are out there, often don't work. However if you need a truck to use locally, that can do anything an ICE truck will do, and you can charge at home this is the perfect truck for you. Rides like a luxury car, drives and performs like a race car, up to 10,000 lb tow capacity .

  • @pstoneking3418

I don't believe people realize it, because they aren't paying attention to it, but everyone's fuel economy drops in the winter. The same goes with towing. My 2014 F150 got a whopping 10 mpg but if I loaded down my trailer, I was lucky if I got 5 mpg. So even though my lightnings mileage range is nearly cut in have , it's still 5 times cheaper to operate than my ICE vehicle was.

Would love to have a F150 lightning, but since I'm living in a rental unit in a location that can have cold winters with no garage, it seems that EVs are not practical for me.

Stop calling it a truck. It isn't even close. A real work truck has 1000lbs of tools and equipment in it ALL the time. No range no thanks. Plus the power grid is inadequate, not one of these geniuses are talking about that. Keep that overpriced junk. I could buy a nice Superduty for that and have a real truck.
