2023 Daytona 500 Highlights | NASCAR on FOX
Спорт
The Daytona 500 got off to an action-filled start as Brad Keselowski used a strong finish to win the first stage. Bubba Wallace was a strong contender but after taking a bump to the wall, Wallace struggled to get back to the top of the race in the first stage. The second stage continued without many cautions as Ross Chastain was able to narrowly beat out Alex Bowman for the second stage victory. The final stage of Daytona 500 brought the heat as it became a caution-filled stage, especially near the end of the race. With two laps to go, a crash that featured Austin Dillon cause overtime. In overtime, another crash with Kyle Larson helped Ricky Stenhouse Jr. win Daytona 500. This year's Daytona 500 was the most all-time laps in NASCAR history, with over 210 in total.

So if a huge accident were to occur just past the finish line but before Turn 1, would you still have the remaining drivers race back to the line? Now if it happens in Turn 4, that'd be a different story, because you have nearly the whole track to slow down. It's annoying when a race ends under caution, but to always race back to the line would create a big concern from a safety standpoint. Would you have certain exceptions to this rule?

Let’s GOOO DAYTONA!!!
NASCAR is always entertaining. You should go sometime.
The cars actually looking like their street counterparts is such a huge improvement. I don't like the single lug nut. It takes away from the skill and timing of the pit crew being crucial for success.
Yo nascar needs to chill on those commercials fr ong
So Ryan Blaney finished 8th with half a car. No doubt he would have been contending to the win if he had a whole car!!!!
Awesome job 🎉
This activity is happening in the double Luxeombourg barn concept on the balcony.
As a Logano fan I feel like he was robbed the officiators must have lagged getting the yellow out
I give Stenhouse an A+ for winning the Daytona 500! It felt like 530 miles after it went to overtime. It's a Chevrolet win!!!
I find it hilerious that after the interview, he just randomly goes to climb the chain-link fence. LMAO🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see Ricky win this one

F1, V8 Supercars, Indy Car is where racing is at... Nascar I think loses younger people for being primarily circle racing, young people like the challenge of swirly twirly tracks and stage racing makes no sense at all, since it is such artificial racing, and all these football terms like overtime, playoffs, and bowls are just weird and nobody who likes racing likes seeing dumb car crashes and "big ones", I love being an American, and I love American history and the American history of racing, but the rest of the world won, swirly twirly tracks is real racing, circles are just coliseums of drunks watching for crashes, not racing

@@ACougarSwagnum it's still circuit racing so after 10 laps I'm watching guys do the same thing even if there's little twirls, don't see how as a standalone concept that's that much more interesting. F1 is basically 20 spread out individual time trials with little interaction between the drivers after the first lap or so. Oval is about racing other cars/drivers first and the track second which to me is much more interesting. Nascar is dumb and youre right about all that artificialness to it. not defending them just the concept of oval racing
“Oh he got turned”
I thought I'd been hearing that NASCAR had lost popularity, however the spectator stands look packed good to see.
I see why NASCAR has took a dump

Congratulations to Ricky stenhouse Jr
My dad legit said when Stenhouse had to do the pass through penalty, and I quote: "I know one name that won't be on the trophy this year... Ricky Stenhouse." And guess who won? Stenhouse!
i was happy to see my favorite driver win on my birthday
The ending sucked…. Winner by decision… come on

Yep, just like a boxing match and the ref decides who gets to hold up their arm.
Should of been Logano
I like short track racing. 🏁
Surprised this video didn't go to commercial 3 times
