Interesting challenge.
Keeping it humble nice
Awesome looking gun… what was that stock and barrel?
John, I’ve been watching you and Eric for quite a while Great videos, bought some pistol match because nobody wanted to shoot it because it said pistol on it😂 been checking out your equipment closely to see what to update to as in which reticles you run. Thanks for everything.

@@FClassJohn thank you and on my six Creedmoor, I’m trying to decide if I want a Trijicon 10 mile and 5 to 50, and what reticle to put in it, or the Kahles 10-50, or a night force competition. Looks like I might have to drive out to euro optic and take a look at them. What are your thoughts on those scopes?

@@stephenkrampert3430 All three are great, just depends on your eyes and what looks good. I use MOA reticles for my needs.
Nice shooting John!! I hope the snow goes away so I can get to the range and try this one.

That's a beautiful Rig!!!!!
Good shooting John. Totally agree/understand the 22 thing. Shooting F Class at your Standard must be a lot like hard work most of the time. Getting the 22 out and getting ready made cartridges straight from the box is so nice sometimes. For a competitive person it can be hard to draw a line and just try to enjoy it. Nice ammo box by the way. Nice gear altogether for that matter. Thanks for all your videos John, it’s so much better than trying to find something decent to watch on TV!!

@turckskidoo lmao enjoyable content? Doesn't take much to entertain fools I guess. His shooting ability is trash. Racking rounds like it's a 50 cal. So many centerfire shooters try to transition to 22 and fall flat on their face, cause they have no idea how this game works. John is one that falls hard on his face , he has no clue about 22
great video

@@FClassJohn Fantastic shooting, but you need to update your software because your MOA calculations are for 100 yards, not 50 yards

@@ronmartblog Thank you, I missed that. The groups sizes are still correct but will correct the MOA for future videos.
Love to watch you shooting John! Quick question: is half inch group a moa shot at 50? may be your settings were at 100? i'm confused
@FClassJohn
Жыл бұрын
Yeah at 50yds, 1 MOA would be 1/2 an inch.
Hello John. I just subscribed to your channel. Been watching Eric C for a while now. Getting back into shooting after 20 years. My club only has a 300 yard range and nearest 1000 yard range is 3.5 hrs away. So I have been trying long range 22lr to get my skill level up. Really enjoying it but damb at 300 yards I'm holding 13.5 mills and the wind is just a killer. I can consistently hit a life size silhouette but small groups are very difficult. The range I shoot at is in bottom land just up stream from kanawa river in WV. Wind constantly swirling. Got any tips? Lol
The freaking joy stick thing makes me laugh

Almost like cheating !!?? Lol hope DATR has different classes so the average guy can compete off a bipod , not a $1500 front rest lol !!!!
Great shooting John. I have a little OT question: What is that small ammo box? Is it a Peli case?

I am always wondering why when shooters with a RimX will not specify their barrel, was it a pre fit or a blank fitted to their rifle. RimX is just the action so add the barrel info.

good shooting
First time watching your channel. is that front rest programmed to go to those bulls or are you just that good to center the aim point that fast. No idea of that type of rest.
@FClassJohn
Жыл бұрын
Thank you but it's all just manual manipulation of the joystick to move it around. I shoot a lot (between 22lr and 6.5prc-7mm) off these rests. It's in the neighborhood of 10-12k rounds a year so it's like one extension of my hand at this point.
@samw2768

Joystick rest are horrible for benchrest shooting but just ok for this style , whatever style this is. What does this actually prove? That either his aim sucks or the gun is not tuned and the ammo is horrible.

@@MMBRM why did you edit the post ? Ha I don’t give a total flying 🦆 what u think or say! All in good fun to me but a rim-x ain’t a bench gun “fact”
You still have no idea how the ammo game works in 22. Just cause it says center x Midas or even xact doesn't mean a damn thing. They will not all perform like a ladder as listed worst to best. The lot I shot last year was center x and it beat out 15 other lots of xact and Midas + from the test center. This past time the only lot that shot decent was xact so don't pay attention to the name on the box. I'd like to know where you can order xact ? And no just cause you shoot xact it may not be better than sk. Your perceptions in 22 are wildly wrong.
@rustynut1967
Жыл бұрын
Yep. I had a brick of SK Pistol Match Special that Xact couldn't touch. I also bought 5 different lots of Eley Match along with a couple of boxes of the cheap Contact. I shot some tiny groups with that Eley Contact.
