I remember when Suburbans were affordable. Very hard to justify the cost these days.

A brand-new 1996 Suburban would cost around $26K back in ‘96, and adjusted for inflation today, that would be around $50k-51K. However, due to fancy trims, luxury options, more technology, and most of all: ridiculous stealership mark-ups, Suburbans today are grotesquely more expensive.

Beautiful vehicle for sure. Chevy finally started to work on their interiors and ergonomics. The problem since 2007 has been the engineering around the cylinder deactivation. They’ve never got it sorted out properly and causes a mess of an engine failure. I just bought a near perfect 2003 with super low miles. It may not have all the tech comforts but it will go to 500k.

Id buy it even though im not expecting kids in the future or have a partner, i just like the interior and the fact you have overhead vents which is luxury for me. This SUV is perfect for summer time.

No I’m paying $92+k for one. These prices are obscene these days. Even if I did have that kind of money, I wouldn’t spend it on a Chevy. I’d get a Range Rover, G wagon, anything but a Chevy. And the last few years makes and models are infamous for bad transmissions and engines. For the price there’s way better out there. Chevy thinks their cars are made of gold apparently

I need to drive an Escalade …. And yes a bench seat is optional.

Gotta admit, I’d rather have her over the Suburban. I also will admit, I love my 05 Suburban Z71 and will keep it forever. There’s a reason secret service still uses the 00-06 Suburban more than any other vehicle to get the job done when lives depend on getting in and out safely day in and day out. If you look, there is still an old Suburban in the Presidential Motorcade that’s been in use since G.W Bush was in office. That says a lot IMHO.

There’s always the option of getting a Tahoe instead if you need something shorter. The only difference between a Tahoe and a Suburban are their overall length.

Wish the seat could tip forward instead. No way to put car seat there.

When I think back to when we had kids in our minivan, I can't think of when I would have actually used that instead of just going between the seats. Would be useful with a bench seat, though.

Is the third row heated and power reclining? Also I had a 2010 suburban and with a touch of one button, The second row seat moved out of the way what’s up with having to use a latch twice? Biggest turn off I have now with Suburban and even GMC is the cylinder deactivation they put in their V8s. I’m not a fan.

High Country starts at $76K. Roughly $25K more than a similarly equipped Traverse that isn't that much smaller. Suburban only makes sense if you need to tow a lot.

Storage for snacks and drinks? If people are spoiling theyre kids that much to let them eat and drink in that thing they are mentally insane
