Love your rig and all the work you’ve done, may I ask what made you choose the Z71 over the ZR2? I want to do the bison but so damn expensive, but seeing you have 35’s on a Z71 makes think more about getting ZR2 and adding 35’s.

Thanks man ! Means a lot ! I went with the z71 bc the zr2 wasn’t out yet and I like the build process so hopefully one day I’ll have my z71 tricked out with long travel and all the goodies ! You’ll definitely fit 35s on the zr2 !

a 9500 lb synthetic rope winch should be a good balance for a midsize pickup.

Yes, the Trailboss has a 2 inch lift over the WT/LT/Z71, and also has a 3 inch wider stance (1.5" more each side).

I've seen side by side comparisons of the two. Trailboss definitely sits a little higher, but it doesn't look like two inches. Kinda weird. Either way it's a slightly lifted work truck. If you're not planning on actually needing the extra clearance and the wider stance, I'd go with the Z71. Just a better-looking truck with a nicer interior. I don't think you'd regret it for a daily driver. Plus, you can always lift it yourself and widen the stance. I'm probably a biased Z71 owner but whenever I see the inside of a Trailboss I'm disgusted.

What are you getting for MPG after lift and tires?
