I really like its presence, especially coming around a corner. Body lines and wheel options make it look as sporty as a Camry. Great review man.

I don't understand why it's not offered with the red line edition or a moon/sun roof. You might as well upgrade to the LT trim level.

Wow! You did a terrific job with this review. You even showed the tire tread and the McPherson struts...I think that's a first! I kind of like the lighting conditions, the fading sunlight actually shows off this beautiful Riverside Blue better than if you had done it at mid-day. (It's also good that you took the shades off while inside the car. 🙂) Regarding blacked out trim: No, no, NO! There are too many blacked out cars already, I like the chrome trim on this RS. Anyway, thanks: You've helped me with my purchase decision.

Malibu drives well so smooth 😉😁

Nice and roomy cabin feel. Handles just fine for what it is. Just one thing The seats are terrible. Lack of cushion and too small for big people. The Camry has the best seats currently out of all the sedans. Altima use to buy now they are too slim and squishy.

Totally agree about the seats. Rented one and the seats have very little padding up front and the back seats are even worse. CVT doesn't feel great either and would be concerned about longevity.

Okay so it has a 15.8 Gal tank x the national average of $3.47/Gal for regular fuel, it would be roughly $55

It does with the Chevy App which can start it remotely.

The Chevy App is quite nice because you can remotely track everything on your car. You can also lock and unlock it with your phone.

Just curious, why is there any interest in this car? It doesn't look good, dreadful CVT and not a good value compared to imports. Any comments on GM buying them back for faulty welds?

Don't know why you say that because it is a sharp looking car. Is what you say based on opinion or fact as it is brand new and all the previous problems the Malibu has had may have been fixed on this new release, why would it not be as it costs them money to fix, however the bad weld joint has been discovered and recalled on the number of them affected.

@@Barrie562 Style is subjective. I think the chrome trim on modern cars looks bad. It breaks the clean lines. Interior is laid out well, but cheap materials and no style. CVTs are awful to drive. Auto start/stop can't be turned off and will reduce the life span of the engine, battery, starter and alternator.

@@dropcarve8841 Actually you know I love the chrome trim, takes me back to what all the cars used to have. I don't prefer CVT's either but it seems that's what is happening to even the imports now. The auto start/stop can be turned off on the new cars, have to push a button after you first start the engine but I like pushing buttons anyways so that won't bother me at all. I do have a Malibu on order and will be posting updates on its performance and how well it performs when I finally receive it.

General motors CHEVROLET really chopped down on their little Chevy malibu, I guess market sales is having something to say about that, it definitely would be a sad loss if we lose our American rides to those bastard asian markets, not good at all, but watching these videos, it's still a decent car ,it does have a nice ass arrangement, but the gas mileage is the main reason I would buy it, the engine power down sizing is really sad, but corporation/corporate is gonna do what ever the market says, my bottom line is, this country isn't completely dead yet, there's a good marine phrase for our nation survival, death before DISHONORED, we need to save our American institutions, BUY AMERICAN 🇺🇸👍✝️🙏✌👌🖖👊✊😎👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

They are completely rebooting the Malibu in 2024/25, it will be up to par with the tech in the new suv and trucks. They cycle out vehicles every 6-8 years, and next year is there big upgrade.

Not sure. Maybe an owner can chime in on the reliability. And no - there is not a lifetime power train warranty
