Join me for my very first run at this very rugged and jagged creek section that is flowing a lot of water due to some heavy rains lately. After the rains I decided to try out the new 2023 Can Am XT850 and see how well the Visco Lok QE 4wd system really works. I tried the Can Am 850XT in work mode and in normal mode. I did not try it in sport mode as I figured it would be just too much power, delivered too quickly for negotiating ATV rock obstacles. This was a fun new adventure for sure. So far I am very pleased with the Can Am Outlander XT 850 as I have been putting it through it's paces for sure in many different ways. In hindsight the only thing I would have done on this purchase would have been to get the next Outlander level up that has the new Visco LOK true lok, which physically locks the front differential full time. However, as you will see in todays video that the Visco Lok QE (Quick engage) works plenty well once it kicks in. There is one rock obstacle where I am stuck and 3 of the 4 tires are spinning. But as soon as that 4th tire locks in, I easily climb over that rock obstacle.
