Jimmy Lutz has had a busy couple of weeks. He joined the Mathews team; he shot a new, two-day record score in the ASA's Known Pro Division; he won the Mathews Pro/Am in Metropolis; and he made his decision about whether to go to the ASA Classic in Cullman to fight for the Known Pro Shooter of the Year title or head to the World Archery Championships in Berlin, which are being held at the same time.

He’s one of my favorites. As a newbie to archery I love that he’s a puncher, it makes me feel normal and let’s me know that you CAN make it even if you can’t overcome punching. I’d love to hear a pod with Jeff Hopkins too. For some reason Lutz and Hopkins are the 2 people I admire the most.
That 466 record he just shot at the last ASA was un-real. These guys are getting too good! ... Imagine shooting a 456 (kyle douglas) and just barely making it into the shoot-off ... it's crazy how tight the competition in K-50 has become.

Also record high high scores are also helped by shorter courses than normal. I know several pros are going to change there practice stuff to shorter courses to practice what the courses have been this year. Average target was around 33 to 35 yards when normal average is like 40 to 43
