Dang, I have had mine for 3 years, 2017, with 80k kilometers on it. The rear diff has been changed at 35k 3 cadilitic converters. But all in all I love it! I bought it with 30k kilometers on it, I have the premium luxury version.

We've owned a 2019 XT4 Sport from new. Its a very pleasant vehicle to drive, well designed and offers very good value for the money. 237HP is more than adequate for a vehicle of this size, and fuel economy numbers are competitive. We have had only a couple of minor issues (the piping on the edge of the driver seat began to crack, and the seat bottom cover was therefore replaced under warranty). The brake pads are squeaky, which is a common complaint. It handles well, is easy to park, and the rear compartment is plenty big enough for cargo, and easy to access. I don't drive it often, but every time I do I enjoy it. This is my wife's first American car (she was always determined to be loyal to Honda/Acura), and both of us are very satisfied with our purchase.

I work for Cadillac and currently have One of these as a company vehicle, I like it.

This is my favorite black Cadillac small SUV. Amazing job with your videos as always bro.

Your headlines says $36K, but then your video shows that the base price is really just under $37.5K. And of course, the tested vehicle is $48K!!! That's a far cry from $36K.

I love mine and agree that it needs an interior refresh. Holding mine until the 2024 model release for that refresh.

Maybe it’s just me, but when you heard the word “Cadillac,” you used to think of a vehicle that was extra bougie! But I don’t really feel like it’s all that special or different then any other SUV. Like you said… it has parts pulled from the GM bin. The outside is okay… it just needs more special touches to be called a Cadillac.

Same thing can be said for many other car manufacturers. Audi Q3 is just a VW Taos in tux. Same with Lexus UX = Toyota Corolla Cross. Nx=RAV4, Rolls Royce Ghost = BMW 7 Series. Audi A4, A6 & A7= VW Jetta/Passat & Arteon. The lists are endless. Yeah this is just a Chevy Trax and GMC Terrain but such are the ways of manufacturers.

Thanks! We haven't driven the new Lyriq yet but our understanding is that its a lot larger than this, and substantially more luxurious. And, of course, it's a full electric instead of gas.

I've always liked the styling of this, especially the Sport model with the darkened trim and clear tail lamps. And despite being down on power(237hp isn't something to write home about), it seems like it makes the best of its power and the trans seems well tuned and fires off gears rapidly. Unfortunately, at $48K, as-equipped it is a non-starter. Non full LED front turn signals? Chevy switchgear? No 360° cam? No panoramic roof? No digital gauge cluster? Luckily, the Lyriq is a great indicator of what Caddy has up its sleeves.

I like the Cadillac escalade ESV from 2020 for seeing that it has a Cadillac escalade ESV Electric like the 2020 one day. 😀

The 2024 is going to get a completely redesigned interior with a large single screen and updated front end. Headlights look like they’re gonna be lower and separated from the DRL’s

The 2024 is supposed to be the year of the refresh. Hopefully they bring a good amount to the table. It's getting Super Cruise and a full digital dash similar to the Escalade.

Cadillac has been so weird for the last 20 years. It seems like the Escalade and V cars got like 90% of the budget. But then they put out some amazing things like the CT6-V Blackwing and cancel it right before it goes on sale. Now that car sells for nearly triple digits because that 4.2L V8 is a beast that people are starting to find out about. And then of course the Escalade is still going for well over MSRP. But their mainstream CT4/5 and XT4/5 are left to languish.

@@hellkitty1014 I was going to mention that very car it's literally the modern version of what Cadillac would have been if they never lost their way the CT6V is stunning.

This car is getting updated for 2024 with some of the new technology you see in the Escalade and the Lyriq. I would not even bother buying this version of it right now.

Thanx for the review. I just saw one of these today and wanted to come youtube it. But 'spunky' means trying to make up for 'lack of power' LOL. I thought maybe this could be a 2nd on road vehicle for me. Oh well.

Looks a little bit tech-dated, but a still nice cabin.

Cabin noise is relatively low.

Energy and or Fuel types, characters of riding,flying, sailing on/under water , tempretures of operation Max / Min, and or possibilities of using on another planets ..... cost per second of total planned resourse out, kids will you add and update your wishes

For 40K adaptive cruise control should be standard on ALL Cadillac trim levels.

I like the touch screen it’s not all big

$50 Canadian credit for not having the ventilated seat controls, yet they still give you heated seat controls? GM ripping you off when it comes to installing that chip and the art of ripping their customers off

For the prices these luxury suvs command it's amazing how the auto makers cheapen the lighting and forgo leds in something so small but important, turn signals and reverse lamps. Smh

I think a good option that meets all those criteria is the Lexus RX. It's very hard to find ventilation on the rear seats for 2-row SUVs.

it looks outdated outside and inside needs facelift so bad 😪

Have you ever heard the phrase "Designed to Fail" (oh, it's a real thing)...... and what that means, as a consumer.........??? Hence the new thing in auto design (a lot of manufacturers are doin' it) ....is *Massive Amounts* of plastic around the wheel well trim...... instead of just metal & paint over, & around the lip........ You are guaranteed to experience EARLY Rust issues.....(this was designed in....mind you) ...... and I .......just call 'em ....like I see 'em ......

Low price and Cadillac/GM together? Quality should be questioned.

Never again. Nobody was more loyal to the brand than me. 35 years. My father for 60 years. All I can say is the recent last two. ATS and CTS were NYS certified lemons. Cadillac was stubborn on the first with a partial refund. The second was full with interest. Confirming it was one of the worst built. They offered me a choice of anything except an Escalade . I parted ways. The old saying “ this isn’t your fathers Cadillac “ is true. His was much better. Now I am convinced they are all made on Friday right before 5pm

Most people I know who have purchased Cadillacs regret it because they haven’t been reliable and the repair costs are exuberant.

Actually Cadillac now one of most reliable brands. I have put 60k miles on my XT4 with zero problems. I can't say the same for my BMW X5 OR Audi Q8.

Funny you try finding that car for $36.000 at a dealer. No markups.. you will find $10,000 add ons bringing it to $45,000 or more with fake fees etc... so it is unfair to state a low price knowing no regular person will find it!

A lot of the interior features seem similar to what BMW has done.

Excellent review. Cadillac is needing a new upcoming model as this does feel quite dated.

Yes Lincoln has super upgrades and stylish too Lincoln looks a hellve lot better I have a 2022 Nautilus it’s fully loaded and a beautiful car I spend less money for it than the outdated looking Cadillac !!

It looks very very plain for Cadillac. The bum cooler works but not the back, we can get back to you sometime and install that.😂Maybe the rockettes could open the trunk without the fob. The Lyric looks great and I know they are not in the same price range. The Lyric is world standard and the XT4 is third world standard.

In terms of bang for buck, I’d rather have the Buick. Obviously, if you want a sportier car, which should sound insane given we’re talking about Buick and Cadillac, the Caddy is it. It’s unfathomable to me that either brand would be making cars that ride like sports cars, but since we’re catering to Zoomers and people in midlife crisis who might want to save money for the chiropractor, as long as my comfortable cars still exist, I’ll sit back and wait for you to start popping pills.

Good luck finding one for under $40k.

lol yup GM dosent do real lux- anymore so they just slap on some imitation chrome, slick cheap wood like and fake stitching, give it no real power to compete like other lux vehicles and bingo u have a caddy, they dont want to dip into real lux it cost to much for them to do .lol

Go for the Buick Envision. Same chassis. Same quality. Better ride. Quieter and nicer cabin. Same engine. And you get more options and luxury for thousands less!

That’s what I like a bout Cadillac… they still make expensive pieces of sh-t … nothing changed…

That gauge cluster looks 7+ years old. Unacceptable. Get a Mercedes.

Because that sh!tty music pairs well inside a Cadillac.
