2023 Cadillac Escalade V - Launch control, Acceleration, Exhaust Sound

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The high-performance SUV has the most powerful street-legal production internal-combustion engine that General Motors has yet produced. It's a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that's closely related to the engine in the CT5-V Blackwing. But output has increased to 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. Power goes through a retuned 10-speed automatic transmission to a full-time all-wheel-drive system (rather than two- or four-wheel-drive like the regular Escalade). Cadillac says it will get to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and finish the quarter-mile in 12.74 seconds. It comes with six-piston Brembo front brakes and standard magnetic ride control with adjustable air springs. It's also lavished with a luxurious interior from the top-spec Platinum trim level. Capability remains high, too, with 7,000 pounds of towing capacity, and the option of either the regular wheelbase Escalade or long-wheelbase ESV. Super Cruise will be available later as an option with automatic lane-change and towing abilities. The SUV starts at $149,990.

Finally, I was able to buy it in the USA and bring it to Poland, Europe. The price was a bit higher than in the USA because with taxes and duties it is as much as 241,000 dollars. The cost of a full tank in my country is 175 dollars😜 According to the computer, the car burns 7.3 gallons per 100 miles. Real beast, I love how other cars slide out of my way😀But there is nothing to hide US cars are almost twice as wide and larger than European cars.

@@andyb4796 from experience, the old (pre-2028) AMG spec G-wagens actually had better braking and cornering than the escalade ever did. And the new generation G-wagens are on a whole nother level lol

@@Jestes304 it might be different if we were talking about the regular model that people use for Uber and for airport shuttle, but this is the top of the line the "V" model. That would be like Cadillac's version of BMW M or Mercedes AMG. And I've driven the last one and it was surprisingly horrible; even for a truck. Terrible brakes too. There's no point in making a "performance" vehicle if the driver has to come to a complete stop. And the last one looked good, but felt very slow, even with the big engine. Then when you have to stop, the brakes felt like they were borrowed from a fiat 500. It was scary to drive because you had to use the brakes very early before planning to stop and even when you do that, they feel very hard to push but they don't seem to do anything no matter how far you push the brake pedal into the floor. And yes, the worst part, aside from that, is the cornering. A loaded Dodge Ram 1500 or Ford F150 go around corners and curves safely at the same speed of a regular luxury sedan, but if you try it with the escalade you genuinely might crash it because the car truly does not WANT to turn once it begins moving forward. I've even driven actual buses that felt safer on the road. Trust me, anyone who's driven an escalade will tell you, they are absolutely NOT good at stopping or turning

@@MarksTech Cadillac made a mistake in my mind by not coming out with an electric version to launch the V line. Which would dust this gas version . Electric vehicles are still a premium product, it would have mind bending speed and even though it wouldn’t be able to corner neither can the gas counterpart. The sale of a V would help move sales of future more base Escalades, Yukons and Tahoes.
