    Tape your brake lever back & leave overnight. This will get rid of air bubbles in the lines & lever should firm up.

    I’m not sure if oil temperature is accessible, but you can see the coolant temperature if you go into the first “My Vehicle” display tab

    Stock brakes no issues. Pads and discs more then capable.

    The discs are the weak point. Only 4.5mm thick and only 5 mounting points. I fitted 5.1mm discs and they were great

    good vid, i’m in the same boat, heavy, need new springs, otherwise the bike suspension is bloody rough. Also, want better pads at minimum, and better fluid, then we shall see if MC, etc will be needed. The bike does get high very quickly and fans are on prompto, i’m just ignoring for as long as there is no harm, defects

    Whats your weight? Also the fan being on is not too much of an issue, its just how noisey the fan is. My aprilia fan is so much quieter you barely know its actually running!

    give or take, 300lbs suited.. i can feel how front suspension gets squished, under smooth, but persistent hard breaking, then i’m riding on what the tire can do for me in terms of rebound, as suspension is all compressed

    @@tomquaker 300lb translates to 136kg!! The bike is designed for 85kg riders so your springs are hugely under rated for you. You would benefit from 11.0 to 11.5 springs with the damping slightly wound off. If your in the uk I can help and I have 11.0 springs in my garage.

    how comes you didnt go for forged wheel option....would of been worth it the amount of track you do

  • @Yamaprilia

    @Yamaprilia

    Жыл бұрын

    I had them on my last s1000rr and didnt notice any difference in performance other than the 0.5mm thicker discs. The forged wheels were £1350 extra option and I believe the money would be better spent elsewhere. They do look ace and if a set come up for sale I may buy them one day but standard wheels are light enough anyway

    You're using too much travel you should be able to tell on your tires how much travel you're using by the wear you should probably fix that

    Spending the money to upgrading the brakes instead of, for example, wheels, exhaust system, etc. sounds a bit odd for me for this bike.

  • @Yamaprilia

    @Yamaprilia

    9 ай бұрын

    Why is that? The brakes are the weakest point being only 4.5mm thick discs

  • @geucamole

    @geucamole

    @@YamapriliaI am surprised you felt the brakes needed to be changed, because I have a 2023 s1krr and brakes feel great. I am not saying upgraded brakes are a bad idea, but for this bike it is lower on the list unless I am racing it or something. Full exhaust and Bren tune would probably be higher in my list, since they will make the bike run cooler, better, and drop some weight. Forged wheels or carbon wheels are a great upgrade (I have the forged) because it really makes a big difference in handling and unsprung weight. After that I would start looking into brakes for full adjustability and stuff. But, that’s just my opinion of course 🤷‍♂️ I wouldn’t say the brakes are the weak point of this bike.
