I really like the concept of this kayak . I rarely fish flat water or warm for that matter.Would be really appealing with an upgraded hull design in my mind.

What sort of hill shape do you envision??

I bought one of these when they first came out back in 2018 I believe. I had several issues with it and was wondering if they had been addressed? The integrated dolly was so ill placed that wheeling it to the ramp and back was a huge chore as its placement was not balanced and the carry weight was untenable for anything but the shortest distance. Have they balanced out that carry weight for the dolly? The other issue was with the metal attachment below the seat for the rudder bar. It was incredibly flimsy and bendable and after a short while of use, it actually broke off thanks to the cheap metal used. Is it still cheap flimsy metal or have they changed it to hard steel? Lastly, the adjusting knob for seat back would not lock into place no matter how hard I tried to tighten it, so minutes after getting underway, it would come loose and the seat back would sag. It was a never ending battle. Maybe it was because I was too top heavy, but have they changed that so it can be locked down in some way?

Mr. Stuermer, would you consider calling Andrew or I (Heather) at the shop (252-499-9911) Jackson Kayak and Blue Sky Boatworks are committed to customer service and if you had issues with your boat after limited use, it should be addressed. 2018 is far outside your warranty period, but reaching out to see what replacements might be available to you may be worth it because all of the issues you’ve cited have been changed on the newer models. Another option would be to reach out to your dealer and inquire if they would be willing to take care of their customer.

I just need a cheap kayak so my wife and daughter can get out with me . Need something she can paddle I have two crappie ones . Just can’t afford one . Since we lost our 19 year old son last year it’s been tough to get ahead . Do y’all have any old kayaks you might could sell cheap . Just one even ? I would be so thankful fishing is my relaxation and my daughter loved the outdoors . Work all the time but hit the water when I can . Beautiful boat and shop God bless
