2023 Beijing BJ40 in-depth Walkaround
The Beijing BJ40 is an off-road vehicle manufactured by BAIC Motor. Initially marketed as a direct BAIC product, the vehicle series underwent a rebranding to the Beijing brand after its introduction in 2019.
The new car's exterior boasts two distinctive colors: exclusive moon rock silver and dark moon black. It features a versatile luggage rack, a more refined spare tire backpack, updated front and rear bumpers, a fresh style of grille, and blackened front and rear lights. The addition of 20-inch forged wheels paired with 275/55 R20 large all-terrain tires enhances its rugged appeal.
Inside, the interior showcases an exclusive black-and-white color scheme, accented by Alcantara leather elements. The car's system incorporates an intelligently designed interactive UI interface by the Chaoji team, and the audio experience is elevated with upgraded speaker units and a subwoofer, delivering Hi-Fi music enjoyment.
Under the hood, the new car houses a 220-horsepower 2.0T turbocharged engine mated to a ZF 8AT gearbox. To mitigate the impact of challenging road conditions and enhance dynamic balance and off-road capability, the new car incorporates K-MAN nitrogen shock absorbers. Furthermore, it comes equipped with an electronically controlled time-sharing four-wheel drive system for improved control and versatility.
