What strings and tension did you have in the Origin?

Very interesting review! Did you check the swingweight on the one you had? Many are lower than the 371sw from TW, as that was based on just two racquets. Swingweight might be very close to Richard’s normal spec of 345sw!

Tennis Warehouse's 371 swingweight is way off most retail rackets which will be more like 350-360s. They only averaged two rackets which Babolat probably hand selected.

As always, great review guys. I am just wondering if you can recollect if the the 2021 Pure Drive plus has more power than the origin or not, and which is better with overall control. My shots are more flat than the usual modern player so I have to keep that in mind when thinking of these two. Would love to have the 2 compared. I am interested in both as my 2019 Pure Aeros have both cracks in the frame now. :( Cheers! M

Hello Munditimum, I would have to say after hitting with those two frames, that I found that the Pure drive+ had more power than the Origin. Although the Origin did have more plowthough than the due to the higher swingweight. But I would have to say depending on your swingpath being more flat I tend to notice that most players have a better time with the Pure drive line just due to the racquet having a more linear ball flight. But the aero is a good option for those who do want to ad some easy net clearance to their game, but it just might take a little more adjustment time. - Richard

Yeah well mine has a swing weight of 354 and 337g, strong with rpm blast 1.25mm so the TW specs are to be taken with a grain of salt
