A lot of people seem to have these or talk about these. You make every bike sound desirable but this is the first sports bike that I would consider as a grown up bike. When I don't need to worry about touching the floor anymore😂

I didn’t know this until recently so don’t feel bad but this isn’t a “Sports bike” it’s a naked bike. Haha On a sports bike you’re very hunched over while on this you’re sitting more upright.

My son bought an MT-07 for his first bike, he loves it! I agree with everything you said, it's a fantastic bike. I find it a little cramped for me though (I've got a Tracer 900) but it's a very light and good handling bike. The only complaint he had after a 300 mile trip to the Lakes, the seat is too hard but that can easily be rectified with a good upholsterer. Great review on a very good bike.

I’ve had one for nearly a year. I’m getting old and wanted something light, simple and not loony-fast. I had mine remapped and fitted with a titanium road-legal pipe, and k-tech suspension. I would recommend the remap. It’s noticeably smoother and perkier. The seat isn’t great and the throttle travel is too long but it’s a good all-round machine and very good through city traffic.

nice review! i got the same bike now for half a year. i love it. the downside is, i can't drive slow with it haha. The engine makes that uhm sort of grommm in it, as of it wants to go fast always. Only thing is when you go from third to second gear without rev matching you stop to fast on the engine. thats the only thing i must get used to. I'v ridden a honda cb500 (1995) before and the engine braking was wayyy less

Hi Angus Year or so ago I went to a place for my DAS. I was put on a Honda CBF650F and didn’t like it. The instructor noticed and said I can see you are not uncomfortable on that, so put me on an MT07. I loved it. As you say, so nimble. Unfortunately they lost their instructor so had to go elsewhere. Ended up on a Honda CB650R which I quite liked. Anyway, short use but was left impressed with the MT07. Regards Den

Hi Den, a good spot from the instructor 👍 Yes with the Honda being a 4 cylinder I think the Yamaha is much better for a beginner. I have always found twin engines to be much easier to have fun with when learning to ride. I feel like a 4 cylinder requires a bit more riding experience to appreciate it. Also the MT07 in my opinion is just a much better bike than the Honda! I am very impressed with it. Hope you are enjoying your riding. Cheers

The YAMAHA MT07 for being one of the best brands in the world, for its prestige and for what it represents among bikers, must have 3 elements that other brands have incorporated into their models of the same or similar displacement, such as: Reverse bars, clutch anti-rebound and Quickshifter.
