What was the Best Year for Jailbreak?

2022 imo. But then that's also the year that I played it the most. I've been playing it since 2017 but it wasn't something that I could play for hours at a time and I would play it probably a few times a month. While last year (2022) I spent around 200+ hours on the game (since around May)

Imo best is 2022, since some updates changed the game lot. The live event, mcl36 event, trading, hyperchromes, NPC airdrops, jet revamp, mansion, casino, map expansion, 5 days of 5 vehicles were the biggest parts. And crit styx made the updates way better than before. But sadly the player count was really low on 2022, but still the best.

For me, it’s a bit of a 3-way tie- 2019- probably the best with how much it did (and performance) 2020- I loved this year, and have memories with it (such as flying around in a stunt plane during online classes) and 2022- I also loved this year, but started really late (around August) I had a ton of fun and the updates were spectacular. It would be #1 for me if I completely played it through

I have to agree, 2019 was my favourite year of playing jailbreak. It just had a particular jingle to it, it might've been the graphics, but it just felt memorable. I still remember my favourite moments like they were yesterday

First half of 2019 was so goated

I still can't believe that I've been playing this game for literally 6 years. From beta, up to now and I'm still playing this amazing game. Can't wait for future updates even though I'm gonna be a lot busier due to school for sure.

I remember in 2019 I HATED mad city so much, I even made a free modeled game about how much i hated the game and how jailbreak was better... I do agree 2019 was the best year due to the competition. 2017 had pretty lackluster updates like waiting almost 2 months for the monster truck update and fall update. But the trains were a really cool thing to see on Roblox despite how laggy they were. 2018 was pretty average. 2020 had lots of great updates and that live event which was even still to this day amazes me on how good it was. 2021 I hardly played the game. 2022 I still don't play much but the trading update was really epic apart from people begging me to trade my torpedo to them. And while I haven't done the ceo boss, from the videos I have seen of it, it looks pretty sick. Crazy how the developers still care so much about this game almost 6 years on, Jailbreak and it's impact on Roblox will never fade away. Thanks for reading my thought dump.

2017 was fun because it was new, but it didn’t really add anything that would stay 2018 was much better and it added many things that was fun and that would stay 2019 had a lot of updates, but also introduced a bunch of bugs and poor gameplay that took WAY TOO LONG to patch. most of these updates weren’t even that big either. 2020 basically fixed atleast 70% of those glitches from 2019, and also added a bunch of new content with it. this was the year they started fixing bugs, but also adding new content at the same time. 2021 was… kinda mid. they added some new things but most of it was forgotten or just not given enough attention. they did fix a LOT of the bugs though. 2022 started mid, but got MUCH better after the live event. we got 3 new robberies, basically a new map, trading, our first boss fight, and many new vehicles! now in my opinion, the best year is 2022. just look at what it added compared to previous years!

They did the best updates too late cuz in 2022 70% of players had already quit jailbreak. Kreek abandoned jailbreak to play lego pigs scary game 😔

Yes I remember buying buggati veryon on my first account I lost and remember buying torpedo, jb8 and raptor that was the best years I ever had. Now I have a new account and only have brulee i also becuase of trading I stop grinding and I lost my skills and now I’m quitting trading for grinding and skills. But the game is not meant for only trading it’s meant for being a cop or a criminal I hope you guys relate to this comment

Man I remember being 12 and playing jailbreak for me it brings so much nostalgia even tho jailbreak was boring compared to now it was still so much fun prison games on Roblox were a big genre back then and jailbreak was just so amazing it was just so awesome

Honestly I think 2022 and 2021 was the best due to the live event, and the amount of bugs and exploits that were fixed, I do like old jb but the amount of bugs Made it unplayable sometimes and there was always cheaters

Best year for jb was by far 2018. Second was probably 2022. Third was 2020. Fourth was 2019 And fifth was 2017, yes, even tho 2017 gave us nostalga, it only had around 3 robberys and 2 vehicles

I cant remember when i started playing, but i do remember faintly having a lambo with the bacon skin on it

2020 for me because it was covid and i was bored but i also just like it in general

2017 was amazing. Fun fact, Jailbreak was the first game to reach 100,000 players.

I remember staying up late in 2018-2019 playing with my sister and my friend. 2018 is def the top year in my opinion.

For nostalgia reasons would be 2017 and 2018 but for actual game related stuff like updates would be 2019 at least during the mad city vs jailbreak stuff

5:49 i remember back in 2018 when torpedo was first added many people didnt get it so we had a second chance in s2 which i managed to get both cars. When s3 dropped audi r8 and raptor i was so sad being on mobile cuz my pc was broken so i couldn’t play and i missed the whole s3 (ik they are not the best cars ever but i still like them) Season was ending so i was like f it ima grind next season. Omg the disappointment when s4 dropped and the cars where nowhere to be seen. Imagine as a 12-13 year old the emotional damage back then 🤣🤣🤣 i dont think i bothered grinding the season tbh.

I got into jailbreak during fall 2017 but in my opinion 2018 was the best year for jailbreak because of nostalgia and playing with friends

2018-2019 was such a nice prime for jailbreak but after 2020's live event it slowly started to fall again. (yes I do know jailbreak is not dead but its on a larger decline)

2017-2018 was peak roblox for me.

2020, mostly because the live event which was SO GOOD, also 2022 in second

As an og jb player (I started in 2018) I think that 2018-2020 were the golden years, although I can see how new players would appreciate 2022’s crazy updates. There’s just more nostalgia and enjoyment for me in 2018-20

One wish I have for jailbreak for 2023 is please make useless features not useless

Late 2017-2021 jailbreak was better 1. From late 2017, before the trains were even released there was an Easter egg by the tunnel of the cargo train which kept the game hyped up for the next robbery. 2. During the rocket fuel update, the crashed meteor turned purple and grew larger which kept the hype up and it was epic. They even turned the map space themed but the ufo was bad but still the map was good. And before the 2B live event the volcano lava was rising up and there was construction going on to build the area 51 base later on. Tho 2019 updates were mild the area 51 base prior to the update also kept the hype. There were monster trucks moving the meteor and some construction by the desert. And in 2021 by the arch prior to the tomb update the tomb statues and platforms were slowly being revealed. Jailbreak was better in those years because of the Easter eggs teasing The next update. They don't do those anymore sadly

2022 is the best year for me. It was my most active time playing the game and i have some of the best memorys of the year playing the game. I enjoyed the updates alot, but 2022 was a nostolgic year even tho it was barely a year since ive started playing. I played almost everyday from January to March. By far my best year.

it went hard in 2020 during covid, but 2019 with the og seasons and simple gameplay was the best.

2019 and 2018 would be the best jailbreak years ever it was just so much fun when you had kreek streaming till 3am waiting on the new jailbreak update. I wish 2022 updates released way before 2020 cuz nowadays og players quit jailbreak. Imagine if trading came out during 2019-2020 when all the youtubers where playing it would have been amazing. Unfortunately some pepa pig game got released and stole all jb players. Best update year: 2022 we got all the updates we could ever dream off. Most fun year: 2019 cmon we had kreek, user, nate and alot more awesome content creators. We also had the season system that did not force you to play everyday. Honorable mention: 2020 cuz jailbreak had the craziest live event roblox has ever seen with jailbreak having 500K concurrent players. And also the beginning of a sad chapter. Jailbreak downfall. Piggy is a really good game i lobe it alot but like why did it steal all the KZreadrs 😭😭😭 2017 nostalgia thats the only word 😂 2021 it was good too but like jailbreak already fell sadly 😢

The golden year of jailbreak was 2018 because from 2019 when the map expansion came it kinda ruined the experience and the lighting update made it worse.

as a jailbreak og who joined in late 2017 I can say that the best year for me and jailbreak was 2019 because of the fact that jailbreak had one of Roblox’s first live event and that the updates where straight fire 🔥 makes 2019 the best year for me👍👍👍

how is 2019 your favorite, it literally made you quit 😂 summer 2019 was amazing and it’s definitely the best summer for the game. but imo it’s not the best year. 2022 had amazing consistent updates with great changes and looking at how much the game has changed in the past year is incredible.

2019 had a greater volume of good updates and it still had a healthy player count so imo that edges it out, though yeah the second half was really bad.

Basically 2017-2018 was the best overall for the game as the prison genre was still popular and the gameplay was very fun for its time. The game itself is far better today however its relevance and player counts are a lot lower as the game just isn’t as appealing as it was back then. People often say it was because hackers, toxic people etc however they were always there and using that argument to justify the failure of this game just shows that they were victim to nostalgia.

The new map is better than the old one, but it lags. Someone like me can't play. i think 2019 and 2020 is best year of playing

I enjoyed jailbreak during 2019. But nowadays with updates that enhances the graphics, it's hard to enjoy the game since I play on mobile and it is completely laggy to the point it's even unplayabe

9:57 2022 had the biggest and most wanted updates ever but it sadly did not bring back jailbreak to its golden days. I guess rb battles kinda helped jailbreak to go back up to 20K players. But still the best UPDATE year ever it will never beat 2019 golden days.

Yeah the trading increased player count, as far as I know ban jail didn’t result in anything since the update was mid. If you want, you can see the graph for yourself on the rolimons website

2019 imo jetpack season 1,2,3,4 if im not mistaken amd powerplant and cargo plane also 2020 and 2021 ruined the game but 2022 and 2023 made good updates but most players already quit
