Its actually good that there is no manual gear.. Cause the dsg wont allow hotheads to blow the engine.

I have recently purchased a polo gti. I really don’t think u should have to pay to use the nav that’s actually built into the car. Or the voice activation for the phone. Bit of a rip off

Yes, this is sadly a common thing now. BMW and Mercedes make you pay to activate features too!

I had a st 8.5 face lift before the polo. The sat nave and voice activated was standard. No charge either

That exhaust sounds lovely from in the cabin. Fake or not...sounds really deep and not too in your face like the Hyundai N cars.

Daughter had a pre-facelift polo gti, it was nice but always seemed to scrabble from a standstill and the beam rear axle didn’t inspire a lot of confidence given the power, otherwise though it was a really nice car.

The gearing maybe feels better as the new GTI comes with a 7-Speed DSG older Model has a 6-Speed DSG

I wonder if the the steering wheel from the pre-facelift version will fit in this one? Maybe even the climate control?

Who is it for? Boy Racers that want to feel slightly more grown up, and something that is not so noisy on the highways. I just bought one, and I'm turning 44. No wife, no kids, so I don't have the need for a large SUV or a sedan. I'd consider a Sports Wagon or a slightly larger hatch. But you have to go up quite a bit in price for this sort of performance. In Oz with new car prices, it's $15k more to get a Golf GTi, and about $8-10k more for an i30N, and about $13-18k for an Octavia VRS Wagon. In Oz, we only have i20N that compares in performance for slightly cheaper, but that is Manual only and quite a lot more noisier on the highway. Puma ST range here is only 3 cylinder 1L versions... No other hot hatch options really without jumping up in price. I couldn't find a better car for driving fun in that price range, that was somewhat practical in hatchback form...

The Polo feels leagues ahead in terms of size and build quality, but you lose a fair bit of the fun. If you like the idea of a DSG though, its worth taking one for a drive to see.

It doesn't look anywhere near as stiff as the ibiza cupra, i had one for 3 years and couldn't wait to get rid of it. The ride was way too harsh, and it wasn't that quick

Why did you review a car you hate so much. Nice review watching you drone on. Anyone feeling suicidal don’t watch this depressing review

would recommend to shave and shower before, and not wipe your nose with your hand during the filming
