I have had several Golf GTi cars. They are very enjoyable, driver-focused cars. Fast, comfortable, fun. Latest models have so much flexibility. As long as you can handle a smartphone and/or an iPad/tablet, you will be OK with this infotainment system. Once you have had the car for a while, you will forget knobs & buttons - just adapt to haptic buttons & touchscreens. Great cars ❤

I just got the S. I’m older & retired so don’t drive a whole lot. If I drove more, I’d get the SE if the price difference wasn’t an issue. Mostly for the keyless entry and better voice control. Other than that, there’s not much difference aside from the sun roof, which in FL I don’t like anyway. In other words, if I drive more keyless entry & better bounce commands would be worth the extra 5 thousand to me. So then you just need to ask if it’s worth that much to you. If you’re a younger person, take the difference in monthly payments and put it into a savings account. Or at least that’s my advice. 😊

I Loved The GTI Because It's My Favorite Car Because Of Them Ambient Lighting & The LED Interior The S Version Makes A Ton Of Sense In That S Version You Still Get The Ambient Lighting Which Is So Lovable The Wireless Charger The LED Dome Lights Which Is Lovable The Heated Seats But I Wish It Was Ventilated Because It Is Summer Time.The SE Version Is My Favorite Because I Loved The Leather Seats & The Black Wheels Including The Keyless Entry Which The Base Model Doesn't Have Which Is Ashamed The GTI Is 5.1 Second Car.

My first two VW was a 1988 GTI and 89 Jetta GLI, the GTI only had AM/FM and the GLI had a Blackpunt Cassette player, both of the had hand crank moonroof lol

Not interested in hearing the ‘exhaust note’ inside the car. Do any of the Mode controls allow you to minimize this?

Out of all three series, the S is the way to go. I am getting the same one but in oryx white. How are you liking the GTI overall?

How is the car so far? Picking up a 40th Anniversary today

This base model seems so feature packed, it makes the other trims look expensive. My only gripes are no keyless entry with the door handles and the electronic parking brake.

I believe it’s tuning, like for the radio.

it can be used to tune the radio or in certain menus it will move/hover up or down each category and you can press the knob to select the hovered category.

Has your shift knob started to come loose yet? Personally I thought it was the worst knob ever. Cheap, flimsy and twists while you drive. Can't wait to replace it.
