2022 TVS Ronin First Ride Review | Why And How Did The Zeppelin Cruiser Become

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

TVS’ first attempt at a retro motorcycle might make many people sit up and wonder why has a company with a rich legacy of motorsports ditch its racing roots and go easy? After all, the TVS Ronin looks like a mish mash of a couple of motorcycle formats. You get hints of a scrambler, a roadster and a cruiser. And TVS had shown us the Zeppelin cruiser back in 2018. So, what exactly is the TVS Ronin? How did it take this form? And is it any good? In this video, allow Kartikeya Singhee to take you through the new retro TVS.

    Confusing it may look to the "trained" eye, but confused it is not! I can see what the designers were going after. It is the one bike for the typical one bike garage of an average Indian consumer. Daily commutes, weekend rides, a bit of rough road scrambling (which is an every day ride for the rural consumer anyway), it's the one bike that won't bat an eyelid taking on anything that the Indian rider demands of it. Also, kudos to Karthikeya for braving the orange alert that most other reviewers were fazed by. Very well put together review despite the conditions. Absolute benchmark in auto journalism!

    Personally, I find this a looker. I see a little bit of Interceptor (tank and below), scramblerish at the rear and a bit of an Avenger at the front. A slight bigger frame could have been great though.

    1.5 lakh TVS bike is competing with 2 lakh Honda/RE bike and still better engine, better performance (not on paper) , better quality, better comfort because of better suspension esp rear monoshock unlike the rivals having stone age dual spring suspension, fully covered chain so no tension of chain and way better refined and reliable than those tractor kind of 350cc engines. Kudos to tvs

    I’d disagree with the verdict because my father has absolutely fallen in love with this motorcycle. For the stance and the tech and the sheer value it offers, he discarded his love for the CB350 and is continuously inquiring about it in the nearby showrooms. Hence, I feel that this bike will definitely attract a generous fan base.

    The one I can see clearly is the practicality, all the tech gimmicks aside, the last practical no nonsense bike which is suitable for office rides on week days and some long ride fun on weekends was the fz250 which is light on pocket and good to ride, now i see the same / a better version here, as it has relaxed seating, a ton of accessories from the company itself, now the only thing that stands here is reliability, hope it lives up to it, coz I'll be going for either a fz25 or a Ronin for sure

    I dont think going for a 200 or a 250cc bike for office use is a good idea. You are going have to settle fora fuel efficiency of 30 to 35kmpl. If I were you, i would keep the fz16 for office and get a 200 or a 250cc for weekend highway.

    My Dad says the gauge console placement doesn't bother him, but if I were to buy it, it'd bug me! This is one of the few reasons why I am confused if I should buy the Ronin TD, the N160 Dual or the FZ/FZ-S 25.

    Quality is rarely an issue with TVS, so no worries there. But the bike looks confused. It looks like a tourer and a cruiser and a scrambler at the same time. Looks like a teeny tiny version of the BMW R9t

  • @bhagat6127
    @bhagat6127 Жыл бұрын

    Tvs took inspiration from the Trident 660 and it's not necessarily a bad thing. They could have gone for a scrambler format and it would have rocked. Sad to see the Zeppelin Cruiser won't make it to production though

    I'd rather like to see a cleaner naked design without fancy plastic bits and a little more torque from the engine .. perhaps a 310cc - all the funky plastics. The Speedo meter could be a tad larger.

    What a Great effort by TVS. just love how it looks.A very desirable machine. I just wanted it to be 155Kgs, 250 or 300CC 24Bhp 25 NM of torque. 140 section rear tyre. That would have been a dream. Let's hope, TVS is listening. 😊😊😍😍😍

    Still the cb 350 is a better bike if one can shell out that bit of extra cash. A long stroke engine is inherently made for touring, and the cb has much more torque, and the same power from a much bigger engine means the cb doesn't even heat as much as the Apache. Additionally, the cb can easily cruise at 120 without feeling out of breath, I've seen videos of cb clocking 150! Would be good for once to have a review that isn't biased against the Honda. But for the price Ronin is brilliant.
