Agreed! That's why if I go this route, I'd just get the TRD Pro exhaust section (dual tips with resonator deleted pipe) and call it a day. Save some money in the end also.

My 2023 Titan v8 sounds sick lol. It sucks the manufacturers are going with turbo v6 engines

Meh v8s sound good and all but I love the sound of the twin turbo v6. The turbo spool is so satisfying. I doubt he's chasing the V8 sound. It's a KZread channel, he's showcasing different products available.

@trdjon on a scale on 1- the Carven exhaust how much interior noise do you have from this exhaust? Thinking of buying just want your opinion.

Would u recommend the afe for the 2021 v8? I like the drone but wife wants it to settle down a little. In Florida as u say not too bad however a 670 mile trip to NC in Blueridge mts has her and admittingly myself concerned.

I installed the AFE Hi Tuck version of this exhaust on my 22’ Tundra. Did you have issues with exhaust leaks? I put my shop vac on blower and taped it in the exhaust to check for leaks. At every clamp mine was leaking. Bad. No matter how tight I got them or positioned. Also had some leaks at the donut flange where they connect to the cats. After comparing stock exhaust flanges to AFE’s, theirs are wider and deeper, not allowing for a good seal. Their tech team is working on a solution for me. Just thought I’d give you the heads up. Worth checking for leaks. I definitely noticed better throttle response. Also installed their AFE GT Air intake. The intake and exhaust combined absolutely killed my gas mileage. Ended up taking off the intake system and put in factory. Have you noticed better mpg with just the exhaust?

@@TRDJon Bad ass! I have the intakes and charge pipes coming in hopefully end of April, early may, Ill wait till my first inspection is done , then ill install it. I figured id put this exhaust on the list as well. Seeing how you have it on your list, that makes me feel a lot better about my decision then.

Jon, you’ve had your tundy a while now. Do you think the power is adequate or do you wish you had the hybrid?

Did you have the interior exhaust audio turned off or on during this? Do you think this could be a good alternative to turning the speaker audio off and having a good, real exhaust note?

I left it as the stock tire size.

No way I’m changing exhausts and the window is still rattling. lol. Try muffler delete. Sticking w my 5.7 w magnaflow. Sounds incredible

When you add the new exhaust, do you still get the artificial exhaust sound on the interior or does that get disabled?

My SR5 doesn't have that. But it would still be the same fake sound if you had it prior

Just curious ? Quality of AFE vs Stock exhaust in general vs Toyota long term wise ?? Or the one on my 2023 GX460? I'm thinking would it worth the $$ swapping out off my new GX for AFE?

SUV will maybe have some drone.

So from idle-3k rpm there's essentially no power difference. Sounds like you don't get much noise out of it either in that rpm range. So unless you're flooring it from every light, it doesn't seem like it does much.

@@TRDJon the gen three is growing on me. Just for the ability of a crewmax six foot bed and a few more mpg plus the interior. I just got 208k in my 08 sequoia tho. Just broke in!

Did you have to wait a long time to get your system? I ordered mine on 4/3/24 and I’m still waiting. Now they’re projecting it to ship at the end of May. 😡

Jon, is your fake sound turned off so we are hearing just the exhaust or is it the combination of the two?

I installed both their intake and exhaust. Definitely makes the exhaust a bit louder. The turbo whistle was off the chain. Very loud but not obnoxious. The combo of the two systems definitely added power, but utterly destroyed my mpg. Thinking it was because it cause the engine to use the turbos more, constantly putting it in boost.

@@TRDJon Don’t get me wrong. The Carven is not for me either. Something in between like the TRD exhaust on the 4 Runner 😁

It's really up to personal preference. Some people like the low moderate sound. Some people like it loud when it's needed but not overly drowning for long drive. And some people just like it stupid loud and being constantly loud with constant drowning. It's all about personal preference. For me my favorite exhaust is Brola and probably will always be Brola Exhaust. To me I like low rumble and low moderate sound and Brola give me that low loud rumble when needed which I prefer and their not stupid loud drowning for the long drive. But I haven't seen a Brola Exhaust on a third Gen Tundra yet 🤔... So it's all about personal preference...

Is it true?? The 2022-2023 tundra TRD pro play a V8 symphony through the speakers?? 😂😂😂 you will never get the V8 symphony out of a V6. Sound like my 2018 Tacoma 😂
