    I’m having the same symptoms, had it towed to the dealership but it started up there even after a GM roadside assistance person couldn’t jump it. Dealership said they found nothing wrong with it and sent us away. Now, 3 days later it’s completely dead again. Glad I ran across your video, ill be getting it towed back to them tomorrow and will share the info with them.

    Exact same problem on my wife's 2022 Suburban. First time was 6 months ago. Local dealer replaced the battery. Second time, three months ago, the dealer kept the vehicle for three days and said "nothing is wrong." Third and fourth time happened over the past ten days. I'm bringing the vehicle into my local Chevy dealer on Friday, 10/27/23.

    Show this video and how we tested. All get a data log of all the firmware uploaded into the truck and dates they were installed.

    I did. I'm literally sitting at the service department of my local Chevy dealership right now. I printed out your video link as well as the GM article that you provided. Also, FYI, another came out earlier this month concerning Colorados. Same issue. I handed them all to my service advisor, who immediately told me that he was acutely aware of the issue. (He also noted that it's worse for Colorados because the dead battery somehow affects the ability to use the brakes.) For now, we're going to handle it by shutting off the OTA allowance in the Suburban. When I come in for an oil change or other service or maintenance, the dealership will do the download while that's occurring. I won't have to deal with dead batteries at home anymore. Thanks for your help. FYI, I have a colleague who drives a 2019 Subaru Outback with the same problem. (Lots of information online about it.) I'm sure he'd love to see you do a video on that.

    is this a police package vehicle with the rear aux battery? or civilian with just the one in the engine compartment?

    Why doesn't the Tahoe have a standard battery setup? I can't even tell where the clamps go here.

    Same probleme happing to me, first day I received my yukon denali 2022 in the showroom the battery dead and the car not start, after only 200km againg my car not start and i start the car with jumb start, and just now i was travelling for a week again mu third time the car not strat ! 2moro i will take the car the our delearship and they will said to change the battery without knows what is the probleme ?

    This has happened to us 4 times now, including this morning. Basically once a month. We are turning it in, lemon law. No more American cars. We should have stuck with German.

    @@AnthonyJ350 GM corporate had to send one of their master technicians out to the dealership to basically reflash every module possible. Lucky for us they agreed to repurchase the vehicle. Should get final paperwork this week. Looking at the new Sequoia now.

    An infrared camera will actually show you the connection/conponants that heated up. Ivan at PHAD uses all the time. You could have narrowed the problem within 1 hour.

    Sooooo what would the problem be if several modules are on? And how would we see all the connectors unless we completely remove all panels and the actual dash?

    @@AnthonyJ350 So let's say several modules are on. You go on All Data and get a power distribution circuit. See if modules are in the same branch of the circuit. Read the theory of operation and see how the system is supposed to operate. You may have an ECM, PCM, or other Modules not performing correctly. A bi directional scan tool can see the CAM Buss to see if the suspected problem module is not going to sleep. This type of Diagnosis is best left for Experienced Automotive Diag Techs. Even if you got lucky and found a HOT Module, the replacement one might have to be programmed to the vehicle. BTW, in another scenario, if you had a dirty/corroded connection, it would heat up higher than the surrounding area. The infared imaging Camera shows the Hot areas in amber, reddish color. Ivan @PHAD did a good comparison on some entry level units for the DIY.

    @@stealthg35infiniti94 If tracing the circuit, how do you do it without removing all the panels or dash to trace and use the heat camera? Just trying to understand how you do it under an hour.

    This is nothing new. But they're not fully testing the software/ firmware when they develop it under all scenarios.

    When the vehicle is a full size SUV on a later frame with a pickup truck front end, pickup truck front suspension, and pick up truck powertrain I guess.

    Initial surge and taper is the ECU and other compute modules initializing. Should not draw more than 50mA in standby when there's no heavy computing. At 12V, that's only 120W for computing at 10A draw. Start pulling fuses looking for the draw. Could be something like heated seats on from bad module. You bought a MultiMeter from Snap On ? Aaahahahahahaaaa!!! Get a Fluke.

    What's wrong with the SnapOn multi-meter? Do you have the solution for these GM trucks? Look at the comments, so many dealerships can't figure it out even though there's a TSB.

    This was our first American car, after 3 Mercedes. But Chevy and ford are the only ones that make a big suv. We were both apprehensive because of the notoriously bad reliability of American cars…… we were right. Brand new and already had this issue 4 times.

    @@Charlie1821 To be fair, any new vehicle can come across an issue like this. I still like GM for their gas powertrains. It's because all new vehicles are overly complicated and they're not testing new firmware enough before they release it.

    @@AnthonyJ350 as a consumer that shouldn’t be my problem with a brand new car. I have two smalls kids that I have to drop off and pick up from day care. This is the 4th time this has happened. Not having a car that I can depend on is a big problem.
