    I traded in my 20 WRX got a Charger in February wanted more room. Turns out even tho the Subaru is smaller it has more space on the inside. The more I see of the VB the more I consider getting one and letting go of the Charger. The WRX was one of my favorite cars I ever owned. It literally did everything. Track days. Winter driving. Mpg. And car shows. Commutes the kids as well.

    Ngl, I was considering a 2021 Charger R/T. But when I drove the VB and I started seeing all the aftermarket support and how fun it would be tinkering with it. Coupled with the fact that it’s Subarus best motor at building power reliably, it was a no brainer. I got the base model because in my opinion for 3-7k more the premium model only getting the big iPad and if you get HK you get slightly better speakers and a sunroof just isn’t worth it for what you could do to it yourself with that money. I’ve had my 23 vb in ceramic white since the beginning of October and I love it!

    Pretty much anything you add to engine function and performance can cause a denial of a warranty claim. I think you’d be fine with a catback exhaust but what’s the point if that’s all you’re going for? Good wheels and tires go a long way.

    I use amsoil signature series in mine as well. People just don't understand the difference it makes. I had a jb4 before my first oil change and it made a huge difference but once I did my first oil change and switched to amsoil it felt like a new tune because of less friction and the ultimate lubrication. Funny to hear people say they have no problem using cheap oil and ya, you may not have any problems but your definitely missing out by not using a real 100% synthetic oil. I have the flex fuel kit as well and I've been using e50 without any issues.

    I use the same in my VB and send the oil in for analysis at Blackstone UOA and after 7,500 miles it specs out as new still - just with some particulate in it from engine break in (metal and silicone - both at safe/normal levels)

    Running high end oil compared to cheap oil lubricates the same when new, so to say the better oil provided better lubricious is disingenuous. Where a higher end oil does show an advantage is how it breaks down less over time and thermal cycling. Project farm has some great reviews of cheap oils compared to high end oils. Costco oil is basically the same as Mobil1.

    Your rex sounds great. Im thinking of just doing asthetic upgrades to my 23 wrx and install the accessport - just as you suggested due to the fact i can just take it out before getting work done. One question, when you get an accessport - do you need to take it to a shop to get it tuned professionally? I think cobb has maps for the 23 wrx now.

  • @chefrizla7714

    @chefrizla7714

    The dealer can tell if you reflash with the accessport. Even if you unmarry from your car they know you changed the code. If you have no mods you can run the Cobb tune. When you add parts you HAVE to get the tune changed to go with them. Etunning is a lot more affordable then dyno tuning

  • @mooreweasel

    @mooreweasel

    4 ай бұрын

    I'll actually answer your question unlike this clown. 1st. Your Access port will come with standard ots tunes that you can flash onto the car. 2nd. You don't need a tune for catback exhaust. 3rd. You can obtain a etune from someone through email without ever going to a shop. 4th. If you dont plan on getting a CAI or other engine mods like FMIC or j pipe then I wouldn't flash your ecu with an ots tune. It's not worth voiding a warranty.

  • @mannyvasquez9114
    @mannyvasquez91149 ай бұрын

    I thought off the shelf tunes are bad though ? .. also I never knew jb4’s worked on subis why don’t more ppl use jb4’s if it doesn’t void warranty but u can tune ? Genuinely curious cause I wanna mod my 23

  • @WIDEBODYNATION

    @WIDEBODYNATION

    8 ай бұрын

    JB works on the VB 2022+ It’s a piggy back tuner so it doesn’t flash the ecu, which is why in my opinion, you won’t void your warranty assuming you took it off the car before taking it into the dealer for a warranty claim.

    Wow, you are a huge sample size from which to make a serious financial decision. Your singular issue has convinced me that Subaru is bad, gonna buy a Nissan instead.

    Another video full if disinformation - larger wheels don’t make the car ride higher…….the circumference is the same - with larger wheels, the aspect ratio is different on the tire. OMG

    I explained the tire size. My car rides higher on the smaller wheels because I went with a larger profile tire on the 17s.

    You run a JB4 so you can hide the fact that you’re tuned if you need engine work, but then you make this video announcing to the world that your car is tuned? The cat is out of the bag now bubba. Hate to tell ya, but there’s been some well known cases in the WRX community of Subaru denying warranty claims because they monitor KZread. They even denied one guy’s throw out bearing in his transmission because he made a video launching the car with a clutch dump. He tried changing their mind for a year, eventually got a lawyer, lost in court, and had to pay for Subaru’s lawyer AND his throw out bearing lol. His channel was way smaller than yours too. I think I remember his last video said he owed $15k and was going to file bankruptcy, then he disappeared from the internet. On the bright side, you can go get a nice pro tune now!

    Subaru has ways to tell you’ve used something like a jb4. Yes you can unplug it, or go back to stock. But what about when they check the memory and see it ran more boost or had a higher rpm limit.

    Final nail in the coffin for the car culture? That’s a pretty heavy statement to say given EVs taking over..

    In my opinion aside from mechanical issues,it seems only some makers give what we really want and what we miss in tuning.Either the company sold rights and joined,some other design flaw(like this one hate to say),or missing a key factor that made the car we expected not what we recieved.Its also believed that the STI badge possibly won't be around I hope this doesn't happen but this WRX isn't the car ive loved all these years

    I recently bought the base model and have been very impressed. Planning to do some basic mods to it. I've owned all generations of the WRX and this is the best one IMHO

    @@churchofbrap876 If u enjoy it great and I'm sure that car is a lot of of fun.Im just saying in general between all the talk in EV conversion and not having all the options between makers and their models,it really does seem like modifying autos is slowly disappearing .
