2022 Slingshot - Coalition | Wakeboard Review

The board responsible for ushering a new style of wakeboarding into the current age is back for 2022 in its original black and white color scheme. If you're not familiar with the Coalition from Slingshot, this board rides like no other, just look at it. Its loose playful feel can be forgiving edge to edge but difficult to master. It can get a bit loose on landings but also helps teach you how to properly land your tricks properly. Chined rails on the bottom of the board are responsible for this unique ride. This board also comes with Slingshot’s Single Shot Fusion Sidewalls as well as a .7mm Ballistic Base that we found to perform very well on Unit and homemade features alike. Lastly but most importantly to some, a fifth binding insert toward the center of the board has been added for the maximum knee banging skinny stance option. If the Coalition can stand up to WMJ’s and Quinn Silvernale’s consistent abuse both at the cable or in the streets, we are sure it will hold up for you as well.

Good callout on the chined rails. They’re a unique feel that isn’t for everyone, but they serve a purpose for some.

I am getting a blem board, I come from boat, I am worried these board will feel INSANELY loose, should I go with the terrain over the coalition? With Blem boards the cost difference is very small. The Collition seems like the "better" higher end board. But I come from boat so I dont know.

@@CoryMp3 If you can dig it, I would push you toward the Native or the Volt. They are a very similar shape to each other. Volt is a tad bit softer but both are medium flex overall. They both have normal edges. Terrain is really soft and the Coalition's chined edges can feel loose. Between the Terrain and the Coalition, I think I would go coalition if you want to get into kickers. If just doing features, Terrain.

Hi, do you recommend this board for cable (park), being principiant? I rode about 10 times, also what size do you recommend? I measure 183cm and weigh 85/90 kg. I'm undecided between this or a higline slingshot. Which one do you recommend and to what extent? greetings!
Hi, I weigh 90kg (~200lbs) and my height is 185cm. I'm looking for advice on choosing a size. Which would be the proper size for me? 149/153? I consider myself an intermediate rider. In the near future I would like to master rail FS/BS 360's, work on basic air tricks, and hit any obstacle coming my way.
