Great review. Just picked up 3000mhg, but 2018 version. Already have 4000, but I wanted more compact reel for shorter trout rods. Greetings from Poland to Lithuania and all trout, seatrout and salmon hunters🤜

I’ve read specs… but how much braid can you REALLY get on a 3000 with M spool? 10 pound braid for example… any idea off the top of your head, man? Thanks!

Depends what braid you use… good JDM braid - probably like 300m 10lb or more. 1pe is 190m according to the specs of the reel. And 1pe is like 22lb.

Now the real comparison: Luvias LT or Stella in 3000 size? I know Luvias is quite cheaper but price is not everything, just another factor in the comparison

I have not yet tried a reel (larger than 2500) that would be more fun to use than Luvias LT. Daiwa Exist is a top-of-the-line pleasure, but it is for finesse fishing up to size 2500 (in my opinion). Short answer: Stella is better, but Luvias LT is more fun to use. If you need a smaller reel than 3000 - Daiwa Exist!

One, or two problems with Daiwa in Europe: 1. Spare parts if you use your reel for long period; 2. Service. Way more problems with Daiwa's Magseals.... Shimano is way better service and no cosmic gimic tech. Do you know that even in Japan Daiwa Airity 23 they change the grease to BB oil to make reel better in resistance (reed Daiwa page). Daiwa is gooood, but not better. Just I think is better design (just MYHO).

Stellaaa is the best

Mind u , u r not appreciating the best casting regular spinning reels out there , this one casts close enough to the big pit reels , slow osc, made it possible for such best castibility , daiwa with their old school locomotive osc. n bad spool length/angle surely their attention is not to compete in this field .

I would definitely take the MGH because you don't need extra speed for zander fishing. MHG will be somewhat more powerful and durable

What the difference between the Stella reels c3000xg and the other one is just a 3000mhg and the other one is c3000mhg I got the c3000xg I was thinking about getting another reel 24 reels
