    When I was 17 I had a 1979 Suzuki PE175. It was the closest thing to a road legal MX bike here in Australia. I loved it. Oh to be young and dumb again!

    I've had two of these from being 17 till now 32.. first one was an original xsport 125 and the second was a stomp z140 both road legal and literally the most fun I've ever had on the road... Had no issues with either of them brilliant bikes... Been looking where to get another from is the link on page where you get them from

    I have a similar engine and it has lasted well. The valve clearances need to be checked regularly as they can become tight. Enjoyed the review. The thing I noticed about the graphics is that the orange line above the engine doesn’t line up. It looks as though it should be continuous but isn’t. Pitbikes rule the offroad.

    How about insurence ?. I ask because I baught a honda wave the day they came out in this country and no one would insure it because it wasnt on there ''List'' it being a Honda . I was very suprised and a less well known brand such as this could face simular problems .

    Are stomp pit bikes good and can they go on the road

  • @motormax6048
    @motormax60482 жыл бұрын

    They can actually be quite reliable if maintenance is done regularly I had one and did valve clearance every 1k miles and oil change every 500 miles and went on till 10k miles no rebuild or issues then upgraded for a 140 rather then 125 my bike always needed to warm up to run right as expected but only needed slight choke not even half choke and fired up and idled nice

    But surely a pit bike which uses a 4 stroke engine rather than usual 2 strokes that dirt bikes use, means that pit bikes will automatically be a lot more reliable.?

    They did a road legal stomp back in 2012, i had one, stuck a 140 in it, supermoto 12" wheels, was a hoot but left me stranded on dangerous fast roads a few times, looked great, but unreliable, although if Honda did one with a pokey 125 or the 190 or 212cc motors it would rip.

    I'm considering a Road Ripper for commuting to work as it's so much cheaper than most other road legal 125s, plus it offers the option of an upgrade to the 190 engine at some point later. The lack of warranty is a worry though, what are your experiences with reliability on these bikes?

I am just wondering if the webiste I saw it on is mistaken or did you fit your one with an electric/button ignition? The website I saw it on says it's the same model however it doesnt refer to the year that it was manufactured. THanks for the help!

I suppose you could stick racing 125 stickers on the white rear side bits. "Pitbikes rule the offroad". PS: Your reviews on this channel have really re-sparked my interest in motor bikes. I'm not sure if it's the lighting (garage lights, sunshine, ect) - But are the graphics slightly different shades of colour. The orange graphic on the mudguards (left side) definitely looks the wrong shade. Body and fork graphics seem to be the same colour shade. 😀🏍 "Pitbikes rule the offroad". (the bar pad also looked Yellow in colour at the start of the video - but looks Orange later-on in the vid).

    These frames will fit engines up to a 190cc, throw away that cheap Lfian 125cc engine and get a YX190. Also put actual fork oil in the front shocks. I wouldn't go for long rides as the battery regulator is just a diode, hence no battery protection and will over charge your battery, should swap that as well. The actual factory cost of these bikes are around $500-700USD and that's what you are getting
