There are several samba schools (escolas de samba), each samba school brings a new song (samba enredo) every year. each city in brazil has its own competition. this one, i think, is escola de samba paraiso do tuiuti, from são paulo. the most famous and biggest competition happens in rio de janeiro. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGeFkq5ylMbNlrQ.html

In my opinion, this carnival, compared to Notting Hill's, cannot compare..the only people enjoying themselves are the participants, not the spectators, who i think are looking down on the event as something foreign, no waving, no dancing, just ..ok so entertain me.

Next time I suggest you to try to get to the family section which is right in front of the judges, I can just recommend it, although I have no experience from the other places where you can buy your ticket online.

Desculpe , mas quem já assistiu um desfile na marquês de Sapucaí ou até mesmo no Anhembi é impossível essa pessoa não se contagiar ao passar a bateria , portanto não são só os que desfilam, a arquibancada fica em êxtase ao passar a escola de samba .

This music is from one of the dance groups which we saw on that day: Meninos, Eu Vivi… Onde Canta O Sabiá, Onde Cantam Dalva E Lamartine by Arthur Franco, Bruno Ribas & Imperatriz Leopoldinense, sorry there is no shorter version for the name :)
