To add to this review, I've driven the top of the range automatic version of this car. It's much more than a Kwid on high heels. It's (way) better than a Kwid however you should note because of the sleek roof design, the rear window is tiny and reversing is an issue, do consider the versions with a reverse camera. The centre console has those storage compartments BUT no cup holders. Cup holders are only on the door. Get the turbo charged version or else it's pointless. Seats feel nice and comfy. The drive is comfortable, steering is responsive but be prepared to feel every single bump on the road. Overall, you will rather enjoy driving it. The keys are a card, but the car does a very good job of locking and unlocking as you approach or walk away from the car. It's a gimmick but a gimmick that works well. Putting your foot down will give you more than enough zip to overtake comfortably. If dealership network is a problem for you, your options are limited and this car looks more and more attractive to people who live in smaller towns because Renault has a better footprint than Kia and Nissan in most places. Suzuki is growing but my recommendation is to wait for a facelifted Kiger where they could potentially fix some little nitty gritty things they got wrong in this car. Just to top it off, in my keen eye, I did spot some brand new Kigers both on the road and at the dealership with some build quality inconsistencies in terms of panel fitting gaps. A car is an expensive tool which could drain your wallet dry. Make sure whatever you buy, that you love it.

@@tron3652 Bit of both. You feel the bumps more through the steering than through the seats. I chose to test drive a road I know well so I won't say the suspension is a deal breaker but R300k is a lot of money and I kinda expect better.

This is soooooo true... Volkswagen has become a luxury brand in itself and they do NOT even offer as much car for the money as other carmakers. I am so glad that the Chinese are even here to shake things up and offer more car for your buck!!

This isn't a suv. All these type of cars including the magnite are small crossovers. Aka Hatchbacks with high ride height and practicality you would find in a suv type vehicle. So reviewing this as an SUV is already setting the bar high for this little car. I think with the cost of cars these days you are getting what you pay for in this one. Not many brand new mini crossover at these price point. These type vehicles ideally suited to 90% of time city driving which most people will be doing anyway. It's a good work commute car and you can't be too hard on its review. Very comfortable seats

It seems that you do not know God, as if you did you'd love him and have deepest respect for Him and his holy Word. You are full if hatred and racism l, and I don't blame you because sometimes the world just brings us to that. If you loved God, you also would've loved His children, and other people. Which you certainly don't by calling another human a dog. (Because voetsek (fotsek as in your version of English) is a word used only to chase a dog away. We are all dogs my friend in the eyes of God because of our hatred and sin and love for only ourselves. But that can be taken away instantaneous. God gave us ten commandments to live by (which am sure you don't know them), and because we are imperfect we all break those commandments every day. So in God's eyes we are not good at all. So we all are sinners and falls short of God's glory. And deserve death and eternity in hell. So how can we be saved from that? It is easy. We turn from our sin and we confess to God that we are sinners, then we put our full trust in Jesus. Why? Because Jesus is the Word of God according to the Bible. He is God. And because we fall short of His standard and can't do anything by ourselves to get rid of sin He came to earth as a human 2000 years or so ago and was killed by His people on a cross to pay for those sin so that we could have some way to be set free. That is the gospel. And after 3 days He rised again defeating death and making a way for us to do the same. I pray that you think about this and get to believe and understand this. This would impact your whole life and set you free of hatred and racism forever, leaving you with love for God and other people and a peacefulness that is difficult to understand for the unsaved world. . Think about it. We never know when it is too late to give our lives to God. I am not judging you, because we are all sinners. I am just trying to give you the free gift of forgiveness and love that Jesus showed us. If only you would accept... The choice remain yours. You are the one who determine what your eternal destiny will be. I'm am telling you because I love you. And I don't want you to perish but to understand the love of God for you. Hey Muzi I've been eyeing the liger as it just looks stunning. But I'd rather go for something like the Mégane rs or the 2022 Clio. Sad about the crap quality interior and infotainment system feeling like it's from 2012. Overall it's a somewhat nice car good enough for new buyers but I would not advice it if you're someone with experience in a few cars. Rather go with Toyota or Suzuki or ford even. Never VW run if you see that badge😂

Hey there, so I’m not sure if I’ll answer you correctly however I will share my opinion based on my experience. Buying my first car in 2019 even though I had a drivers license since 2016 and having been driving regularly the family for the period of 2016 - 2019, I was considered a new driver. However, my premiums did decrease due to how long I had my license. Since my car was in an accident this year 2022 in Feb and I was just under 25 yrs of age, my excess(Budget insurance) increased by 3700 (from 6k to 9,7k) because of my under 25 age. In a nutshell what I’m saying is that age will always play a huge factor when it comes to car finance and especially car insurance. The older you are the more trusted by these companies you are it seems. Really unfair however it is the reality we live in.
