2022 Polaris RS1 0-60 comparison. Does clutching make a big difference? Part 1.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I decided to do a quick video of my new RS1 a couple days after I bought it. Before this video I put the stock 29" Bighorns and stock wheels back on. I went out and did a couple zero to sixty runs with the Draggy GPS unit. I since have made some changes and decided to do some updated zero to sixty runs again. The most recent changes are full Aftermarket Assassins clutching and 32" System 3 XTR 370's . The new wheels and tires are significantly heavier than the stocks. Just how much of a difference will the clutching make? Lets find out in this video. As always we appreciate you watching the video and feel free to comment, like and subscribe.

Portals make it too wide for my liking and more expensive and too much leverage.

Got AA for mine too. I was noticing some clutching issues after a couple months after I put them on. So took the clutch off to inspect. Turns out the AA weights developed like 3 flat spots on them. Checked the millage since I put them on and it was only 1200 miles later. 3 years earlier in an Arctic Cat Wildcat sport I put in the Dalton clutch kit everyone recommended for it. That set of clutch weights only lasted one summer worth of riding too. So after being burned by aftermarket clutch weight I'll never run anything other than OEM from now on. They last! In both cases, both the Wildcat sport and RS1 are now back to running the OEM weights. The wildcat has 16k miles and still no flat spots on weights. The RS1 has 8K miles and still no issues with the original weight I put back in after I removed the AA weights. Both Dalton and AA use super soft metal that doesn't hold up. I hear that's the intent from and SPI clutch guy. They are meant for racers. Longevity is not the design intent. But for the recreational driver they are far from ideal, yet they don't want to tell you that.

Did you go with the 2-0-1 setup that they recommend in their chart? How about your top speed? Rpms?
