Never in a bazillion years would I ever have thought that seeing "good shots" of cow manure being spread on the Pennsylvania growing fields by the Veggie Boys is something I couldn't wait for. These masters of muck, mud, market, meat and manure are so amazingly organized, pleasantly cheerful and cooperative, and full of agricultural knowledge that you can't help but feeling "farm-smarter" every time you finish watching each new installment Andrew creates with his Go-Pro. Buuuuh - bye!

Your dad got that absolutely right about the animals eating vegetables grown in the yard…..I have Deer, raccoons, ground hogs , rabbits, and domestic animals eating and running through the vegetables and flowers heck we even saw a Black bear on our security cameras one morning …and I live in town……I believe we had less damage when I was young on the farm. Maybe it less hunting now maybe it’s time to rectify that lol

Go to beauty shop and ask if you could have all the hair clippings just tell them it’s a project your doing. When you get a bunch of hair sprinkle it around your garden and if you got small animal proof fence put hair around it animals don’t like human smell. It work for me at the farm we got a garden fence around it not to high of a fence just to our knee’s . Good Luck

@Dan: it could be. I don’t know where you live but, it could be that man is encroaching and destroying the animals habitat. Toronto is known as the raccoon capital of Canada. I live near a valley, that has a river that feeds into Lake Ontario. I have seen rabbits ( wild) foxes and beavers in the river. The area of Toronto I live in has been urbanized for over 150 years, yet wildlife still manages to survive in the city. Stay safe, stay sane, be well

Your dad is right about gardeners. A gardener's soil must be both rich and drain well and each plant receives attention. Farmers have hundreds to millions of plants in a field that needs to function. For a gardener, if you have soil that supports worms something will grow in it no matter what. I can mix large amounts of both my leaves and compost into my soil.

Corn field reconnaissance with drone, BRILLIANT! I been reading about the use of drones in agriculture. About what "grandpa" said about people growing gardens, I think most people grow a few of their favorite foods mostly to have that experience of growing it because they enjoy tending it and seeing it grow. Many people grow and put up a lot of their food despite pest pressure but many people don't have the time or space to grow all of their food and I know many people, myself for one, would rather buy from a local farm stand where they know the farmer and their way of growing the veggies and fruits, especially appreciated are the ones who grow with least amount of pesticides and herbicides possible, like your family does.

I also mentioned in Joels comments I can't wait to hear the sounds of the snaps when the vegetables get harvest and yummy yummy good for your tummy 😋 oh your delicious veggies and just think how many types of dishes you can make with all those veggies also makes me wonder how many eggs do you get Simpsons in a day 🤔 and your egg cartons get return to you to reuse or not or do they just get recycled Andrew.

I have a veggie growing plot, and I can tell you that the majority of other plot holders manage to grow very little. Even a few pots will just mean that people want to buy even more vegetables. There is going to be a shortage of wheat in the world this year. Other crops are going become very important. The price of bread has already increased by nearly 25% already this year here in the UK. We have loads of critters too, almost everything has to be netted. What variety are the strawberries, have they been in a freezer over the winter? Loved the drone shots over the whole area.

It was very interesting to learn that tomatoes or sold by the square footage they take up in the greenhouse… I think I’m going to plant my own outside from now on and start them inside my extra room because I have a lovely east window. I found it very relaxing to watch you guys transplant all of those little seedlings and Andrew, I want to give you the award for the most Gentle planter and definitely planting the most is short amount of time. You just seem to have a system in a rhythm about transplanting and I enjoyed watching you do this job😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Callie looks so cute with her little Head piece… Not sure what to call it? Scarf? Bandanna? Anyway she sure is adorable. I love you did you guys have family meals together but also family fun night and family date night because you were a wise family keeping everything close and personal and meaningful ❣️❣️💕

Sorry Lefty, I worked in stables too many years to watch it for fun now. I have my own years of memories I can replay if I want to watch that. Good to see you though. Nice drone shots. That contour plowing is one of the things I miss about PA. It was always so pretty. Thanks for the shots of the mountains. I miss the mountains too. All my childhood memories are framed with blue mountains.
