Jomez cut it a split second before it happened but Calvin's upshot to the 18th green was stepped on by the flagger/spotter 😂 Go check the final round on DGPT's channel omg it's funny.

We're all happy for Simon, but nobody in the world is happier for Simon than Casey. Not Natalia, not Drew, not even Simon himself maybe. Loved seeing the genuine happiness for his friend. I'm sure 18 was an emotional roller coaster for him.

80% Simon is 100% sick! Looked like Vinnie turned it down a bit too. Love these guys placing #1 and #2!

I thought the same thing. Its like he knew how much the victory would mean for Simon, and he also probably knew it was a stretch to actually catch him on the back 9 because Simon was playing lights out! So he just toned it down a bit and let Simon soak up the lime light. Great tournament!

@@Noxtrot I probably wrote that poorly. I'm saying if Vinnie wants to go for the win, he is going to try to throw every shot in coming down the stretch. I don't think he really cares about coming in second place. He wants to win. But the last 4 holes, he knows he needs a throw in eagle somewhere to win. But he really didn't attempt to be aggressive. And we all know Calvin is a very aggressive player. It just seems like he conceaded toward the end and was happy to see Simon get a win. Obviously a pro golfer isn't just going to sand bag to let a fellow competitor win.

@@kt420ish We also have to remember that almost all of them are not rich and they’re playing for a living, too. So even if Vinny wasn’t in contention for the win, he’s still going to want to play smart and salvage 2nd place. With little chance to win, he’s got nothing to gain, and everything to lose by going balls to the wall at the end. Couple of OBs and sailed long putts later, you’ve gone from 2nd to 7th and lost a bunch of money.

@@JimWhitakerMusic yes I get what you're saying. But I don't think Calvin cares about the prize money when it comes to second place or 7th place. He's got a degree in engineering and can make a salary of $150,000 a year if he wants. Instead he plays disc golf and makes half that at best in prize money. Like did you watch him play in that big money skins match a month ago? He had a 30 ft putt that was for like $1200 and he non challantly putted it while talking. Believe it or not, some people in this world don't care too much about money. Calvin wants to win 1st place because he is a competitor. The money is just a bonus

Same, I always cheer for Calvin, but super happy for Simon.

6:10 Drew talking about how he thinks he crossed inbounds on the green; and “doesn’t care what they think” I was sitting right there and there were two spotters who all agreed he didn’t cross. I know it’s up to the card but him missing his putt just shows the disc don’t lie.

Calvin Smiles a lot around Simon, and that man doesn’t ever smile!

This is Simon we all been waiting to see fee years. He's been on fire this season. Congrats to him for win. Also I'm so happy to see ne faces inlead card, Like Kirkland, Cossage, and other this season.

I have to admit it feels good watching Simon at the peak of his game again. I hope this is the start of an amazing comeback season for him. He is my favorite pro to watch.

Simon winning gives me the chills! Love him so much, dad power!! and the office reference from Big Jerm made both my day and made me love Jomez even more! Thank you so much Jomez! Much love from Denmark!

This was one of the most feel good rounds I've ever watched. And I still get chills when I see that Conrad worlds footage. But, this was awesome!

Summer of Simon, let's go! And given what he said in the post-win interview, he is making a conscious decision to play smarter golf. Combining his skill with good shot selection is going to be hard to beat.

Hard agree. Not to mention he’s one of the deadliest putters on tour IMO. Beautiful spin putt, and those 3 floaty putts he made over the course of the tournament ended up being the difference maker.

Did you see the video where Simon and Paul McBeth told each other which shots they had to play? Simon played so well using "Paul lines" that he said he might have to re-evaluate his whole game... Perhaps we're seeing some of that right here.

One of the best things about Professional Disc Golf is the great personalities of most of the stars! At 16:54 Simon and Calvin were sitting side by side on the grass and just smiling! What an Epic moment IMO! I'd Love to have a pic. of that and know what they were speaking about and who sat down next to who. It's those small but precious moments that JomezPro and others are able to capture from time to time that makes the entire experience of the sport just that much better! :)

And maybe it could be a good idea to hear what spotter thinks about situation. Thats part of their work and all information should be included before group making a decision. Drew was kinda rude and riding too hard of his own case. Not so cool.
