2022 Mitsubishi Outlander | Real World Ownership Experience Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Its the first time in years that Mitsubishi has decided to update their cost efficient 3-row SUV, and my brother Enzo and his wife, Sari decided to purchase the all-new Outlander based on cost, quality, and flexibility within the cabin. In this VERY entertaining review, I drive, while Enzo speaks about their real-world ownership experience, and what they like and dislike so far.

    Just FYI, the hood flutter is something Mitsubishi) knows about and it’s a recall/service campaign. All you have to do is go to your dealership and they will order and replace your hood for free. The first models had a defect in the hood. They did not have the correct bracing installed so yes the hood flutter is a real thing but it can be fixed and for free. Have a great day.!

    Good to know, and thanks for letting me know. My brother just moved, so I'm assuming he never received a notification about the recall. Thank you, and I'll share your comment with him. Juliana

    I got mine in June 2022 and the hood flutter was fixed. It actually had it listed as one of the recalls that was already fixed at the factory. I have over six thousand miles on mine and I'm happy so far. The only real annoyance is the CVT. I live in a hilly area and it acts strange sometimes. Especially when it is cold. You'll hit the gas as the light turns green, and the engine revs high but nothing really happens. Once it warms up this seems to go away. If I ever take it in for service, I'll see if there is a software update. I had a similar problem with an 8 speed automatic in my previous SUV.

    You are better off staying out of the decision making process with your brother because if his wife didn’t like the vehicle after a while, i’m sure that your sister-in-law would be looking for a scapegoat and you would be her number one choice. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work

    Hello Juliana. From the beginning I have to say that it is the most beautiful presentation. Long live your brother!It can be seen that you are sowing.As for the car, it's a very nice model. Choose permanent traction and if it's available, hybrid engine. Beautiful and happy days like your smile!👍

    Gee now. Like we were expecting you to say it had ample HP after what you have been driving ,lol. This was entertaining. You just rarely see this brand and especially the suv in the NY TRI state area. For the price . You get the looks and it’s a functional 7 passenger suv. The look on your brothers face when you said it’s relation to Nissan, lol. He must have spoken to Alphonse or Rosario at the body shop about how those are put together. That’s another review for you 👱🏻‍♀️

    Great video! How would you compare it to the Sorento in terms of 181 HP vs Sorento 181 HP, quality and bang for the buck?

  • @AutomotiveWoman

    @AutomotiveWoman

    Hi Camille, my brother based his final purchasing decision on cost. He liked the Sorento the same as the Outlander, in looks and power, but ultimately he and his wife were able to negotiate a better deal on the Mitsubishi. I hope this helps and thanks for watching. Juliana

    I've owned one of these for over a month and closing in on 1000 miles. I'm not sure where the hate comes from regarding the engine power. I drive mostly highway and so far the power is more than enough. I've gone from 65 mph to 85 without even passing 2000 rpms. I'm also averaging close 30 MPGs. It is not a race car but it feels like it has more than enough power. I think people have been spoiled by V8 SRTs. A 1982 Porsche 928 only did 0-60 in about 8 seconds, yet now we call 0-60 in 8.5 slow.

    @@ericblair6984 tarmac mode serves those who want extra performance on road otherwise it’s an excellent car just the engine sounds bit high at full throttling still manages to get 100 at similar times like competitors ! PHEV they made next level for speed desperate candidates superb performance & fuel saving best of both worlds since I bough SEL gasoline no choice 😅

    @@ericblair6984 My 2019 Model ICE got up2 46MPG.. Yes, between 42 to 43 on average, over an 80 mile run, part 30 mph to 70mph roads... But travelling, at 65mph on the Motorway (Highway) where the limit is 70mph, makes all the difference... It was a 2019 model with a 2 litre engine with a CVT automatic transmission! Every service, they commented on the great MPG I was getting! It's helps, not to drive like a boy/girl racer! To build up speed gradually, where you can not floorings it... no harsh breaking etc... etc... The way you drive them, can really help your MPG.. Even with a family of 5 on board, & some camping gear!
