You shouldn't use (or if you still want to, then reduce the quantity) fabric softener when washing towels. It reduces the absorbency of the towels since they will be coated in the silicone and oils contained in the fabric softener

It took me so long to realize that until I ran out if fabric softener n had to wash without it n I was vwaaalaah! Now I love my towels dry n crispy😍😍😍
