I've got the Fiesta ST (2020 model), and I love it to bits. Props to Hyundai for coming so far and so fast. They've got some great cars atm. I'd be interested in driving the i20n. Huyandai are going to dominate going forward, I suspect.

As far as I'm aware the manufacturer 0-62mph/100kph claimed time is actually 6.7 secs. It is in the UK anyway. The claimed 6.2 secs time will be for the 0-60mph/96.5kph time.

Track test next? I think 0-100 in 6.2s is Speedo inticated 100kph so not GPS 100kph so 6.5s 0-100 measured threw GPS is not bad!

The 60 is in MPH while the 100 is in KPH. 60mph equates to 96kph Hence why the gearing is what it is. For Europe as most there it's in MPH

Even in PERFECT conditions it cannot achieve the claimed performance figures. In the "real world" it would be some way off. + 7 seconds isn't "hot hatch" territory these days!

Yet it’s a bee’s dick off the i30N around a track and that does 0-100 in 5.19 seconds and has 52kw more! So that’s where the hot hatch name comes from. You don’t buy an i20 for the drag strip.

But it did? Hyundai claim 6.2s for 0-60mph - both this test and Carwow did 6s flat. The official 0-100kph (or 0-62mph as it's know here) is 6.7s because of that extra gear change required. But still bang on what Hyundai claim.

@@relentlesspursuit6894 Check fasterlaptimes, where you can see with your own eyes that this "mild hatch", achieves, better or close lap times at the track with hot hatches like megane rs, cupra r, i30n, golf gti etc. If this is not the definition of hot hatch, then what it is?

@@georgealex8306 not interested in lap times - not real world is it! Nobody in the market for a "Hot Hatch" would by an I20, its only appeal is its price point versus other options - but you get what you pay for!
