Honda removed the storage pocket behind the driver seat because no one ever uses it. They did a study once, and discovered that 99% of people don't use the pockets behind the driver seat. However, drivers will often store sunshade in the back pocket of the passenger seat, that's why they decided to leave the passenger seat pocket only.

I love how this man speaks at x1.25 playback speed without having to adjust the playback speed. Nice video 👍🏻

I believe there is an “Easter egg”. It’s in the front arm rest on the bottom of the little removable tray.

I would LOVE this since they don't make the Accord in a MT anymore

I just bought my hatchback yesterday. I love it. At $30k I’m getting all the premium features that would cost me $35k+ in the accord or HRV models. And I can fit a road bike in back with the seats down.

@@digitors Rowing through gears on a wide open two lane back road and hitting that perfect rev match downshift then gunning it around a corner. That’s fun! But other than that? Nothing. The touring rides better, sound system is better, screen is better, storage space and practicality is better, headroom better, seats better, quieter…just overall it’s a better car. I could have gotten a manual if I really wanted but I just wanted an auto this time around and so far I don’t miss it 99.9% of the time! And the CVT is fine, I really don’t even think about it which is a compliment.

I have three dealerships around one has the SI, the other has the touring CVT and the other has the touring manual. Si seems great for racing, I can’t lol. I really like Touring features- heated seats, remote start etc. I’m driving a Manual 2018 Accord Sport. CVT would be fine for sitting in traffic

This was the best review I've seen of this car! I'm leaning toward this 2/3 year older model & highest trim level for my next car & your review was extremely thorough! I didn't even know about the remote starting & other features available in the Honda Link app! I had a 2017 Honda Civic & of course those features weren't available, but I didn't even think about then being available in the newer models! Awesome review again!

I just got this car in rallye red, tinted windows, spoiler, and blacked out emblems, and contour lines. The only thing i miss from my 2019 ex-l hatch is the passenger side mirror that comes up when the right indicator is on. My favorite feature right now is the woreless charger and android auto! But it's only been 3 days so I'm sure i have more to discover

The EX-L actually does keep the heated front seats and the leather seats

Yes, the "L" in EX-L always standing for 'leather.' I thought I saw that was mentioned as removed, but it is not of course.

Civic Touring(both sedan and hatch) outshines it’s Corolla top trim counterpart: Bose speakers, wireless charging, more HP, legroom, trunk space…Honda really did a phenomenal job with the redesign

As a big man who just purchased one of these after the review, thank you.. been driving a 2014 EX Sedan for a while now.. started with an 01 LX Sedan. Civic for ever

This is the exact car I'm planning on getting. Same color and everything. Hopefully I'll be able to find one at a reasonable price without too much markup. Great video.

I had a 21 sport touring and sold it. I just ordered the 22 touring sedan in sonic gray Pearl. I can’t wait to get it. I’m hoping the back seat is wider than the 21.

Yeah it sits really in a safe spot among its competitors. Which is pretty balanced and comfy. Yeah i got my 2022 civic hatchback sport touring with spoiler package. Pretty sleek and sexc.

Thank you for this video. The side info bars were really helpful. Loving the look of this Sport Touring both exterior and interior.

I believe the hatchback has the EX-L trim. But the Sedan has the the EX trim. The mpg factor is a base, but mileage improves slightly as the car is broken in, but also determined by how you drive and what driver mode you use. Also, for lighting for trim levels, that looks like the previous 10th Generation Civic. All trims should have LED lights from what I saw from alk the other videos, but onlybthe Touring Sedan and Sport Touring Hatchback has the LED foglights. The previous generation Sport used to have foglights. The hatchback highlights was darkened compared to the Sedans to have a more sporty appearance.

I’m considering the civic sport touring alongside the civic si, Subaru brz and Toyota gr86 as my year round daily driver to have fun with and even take it up to track days. I like all four but can’t seem to pick one over the others

I wanted the hatch but in Canada its at least $3000 over the trunk which i think is ridiculous

Thank you for the great review. I have the same car and it’s an incredible value proposition even over luxury German brands. One correction you will need to make is that this car does not offer heated rear seats in any trim

I acquired the '22 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring yesterday and had the same questions on my previous '21 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring back in March. It's fairly simple and hard to mess up. While learning this feature, keep the car in Normal or Eco; not Sport. Alright so say you're driving and you want to slow down just a bit without applying brakes just tap the - and if you're on the highway and you wanna pass someone you can also - to increase rpms, accelerate and then + to stabilize. In Normal or Eco while using the shifters, the car will revert back to standard D after a period of time without + and - input. I mainly use it in Normal or Eco while I'm traveling in 35-40 mph zones on a slight down slope and don't want to coast past the speed limit, but I also don't want to unnecessarily brake neither. Tapping - once enters D4 (Depending on speed) I coast for a bit, rpms drop then tapping - again shortly after to hit D3 remaining within the bounds of a speed limit. I never really use + unless in Sport mode. Once the paddle shifters are enabled in sport mode, the car acts as a simulated manual; requiring you to use the shifters to change the simulated gears unless you go back to Normal or Eco. In sport while using the + and - the objective is to figure out where you wanna + to reach the next simulated gear. Don't redline, although the computer will prevent any harm from your input in practice. So 3000-3500 rpm +, 3000-3500 rpm +, 3000-3500 rpm + ; S1 ,S2 , S3 respectively Etc.

@@Disxardust You're welcome. However, I don't even use them on this new '22. The better LKAS combined with the more advanced ACC overpowers last gens and renders the paddles useless imo

Justin, did you say this 1.5L tuirbo engine has 880 horsepower the first time you were describing the engine? I believe you don't need to use the funnel to fill gas from an automotive type gas can with the pump style nozzle, just if you need to put gas in sonething else because that all you can find and don't have a gas can.

For almost 31k it has no rear vents or lumbar support for the driver and no height adjustment for the passenger. Also, it has a lot of road noise especially on the lower trim's

@@stateniland i always fight them on the dealer markup. Ill usually have them throw on extras if they really want me to buy the car with the dealer markup. Usually its another 2.5k - 5k markup.

I got the HRV touring that came with AWD and I am so glad I did. Much better than the other trim levels. Totally worth it.

The Impreza hatchback (although slower) has better leg room, more cargo space with the rear seats down, a better crash rating, and oh yeah far superior in the snow. 🏹🤠👍

Only interested in the Sport with the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission. Don't want Automatic, don't want Turbo.
