Thanks for watching, Justin. The Lynx riser kit fits the 22’ Compass but the front risers rest on the edge of the scupper holes so we are going to make a few adjustments to avoid that situation.

Hi Nick, I went out today and used a throwable cushion as a raiser to see how a fixed raiser will work for open water. In our local waters 3 to 4 ft swell is normal, it doesn’t work, I’ve been kayak fishing for many years and never felt so unstable on a kayak. I know you will try it and test it to the limits. Turbo fins are a most for open saltwater.

I wasn’t a fan of that style rudder either. But the light weight should make it easy to move. My manta ray weighs like 78lbs and has that rudder underneath. I can take it out of my truck one handed. All I’m saying is, if you start making parts for native, I’ll be there lol

Love my 2022 camo. Originally ordered the Lynx but didn’t want to wait for it. Moved the round hatch to the front and added the rectangular hatch and some map pockets, and that solved any storage issues. Will be interested to see your review and your seat riser solution!

Yeah, really like the idea of some DIY to make things better and save some cash by getting the Compass. Not to mention the increased durability that Nick talked about in the vid when compared to the Lynx. I think I am getting to a point where weight is an issue, but seems like some weight also and more simply just equates to durability.

100%. I’ll be making a few videos with the Compass offshore - I believe the Lynx is a better all around platform.

@@NavarreKayakFishing that's what I was worried about. I'm wanting something along the lines of quality but not wanting one 120+ lbs or harder to maneuver in and out of use. I lift and can manage but just don't want to do that with a rig.

Two main reasons - we had several request to make seat risers for the kayak and spending time in a variety of kayaks every year keeps me up to date on who has the best product. I prefer the Lynx to the Compass without any questions.
