Hi MegaBailey67, will probably do mods down the track but at the moment it is just a sweet ride as is. You have got yourself a great machine and I know you love it, just remember to watch out for the clowns on the road, you know the ones that want take your photo for safety purposes. Cheers Jack

I picked mine up on Monday i chose the sharkskin blue and i can’t wait for my exhaust to come in i have already changed the mirrors and fitted a swing arm bag and I’ve got a set of front indicator l.e.d’s to fit , i might do the shift bar to finish it off . Glad you like your bike and i wish you many safe miles of enjoyment .

Hi Mick, I'm sure you will love the bike, nice color and cool mods. I was thinking of pull back handlebar extensions for it but I do like the arm chair ride at the moment. The swing arm bag is a great idea because there is no storage on the bike for anything. I was thinking of a handlebar bag for basic items. Stay safe and use your cruise control. Watch out for people who want to take your photo as they charge big money for the privilege.

35,000 in ten days of work ?! What do you do ?! Seriously. I'm looking for something to do that's worth my while. No worries, mate, I live in North America, and won't be stealing your gig ! LOL ! Might "borrow" your nice, new, shiny machine, though ! LOL ! ; )

Beautiful bike, I'm so jealous. For me I can't decide between this and the road king, I don't tour anyone. Very best of luck with her

Hi Dan, I don't tour anymore either so it was an easy decision for me. I sometimes just go out in the shed when its raining, take the cover off and look at the Fatboy and admire it. I will sit on it and feel how awesome it is. When the sun is shining and the birds are chirping I will look for any excuse to go for a ride and if I don't have an excuse I will make one up. Do not hesitate go out and get both. The only downside with the Fatboy for me is I don't want to put bags on the back so I wear a back pack if I need to carry small items. A couple of weeks ago I was having all sorts of problems changing the hydraulic trailer brakes on our camper trailer, then a phone call from a mate to say his mum had passed and head aches from work bullshit that was doing my head in. I fixed the brakes and sorted the work crap out, jumped on the Fatboy and had an out of body experience. As I was changing from 3rd to 4th and hit the cruise control I could feel all the hassles and problems leaving my body and I was in freedom mode. I can't explain it, I just love it and will probably add to my stable in the future. I love all the bells and whistles on the Road King but also love the simplicity of the Breakout.

@@southaussiejack558 iv seen people add an upright sissy bar type that runs to almost a point and a custom waterproof bag. I think K9 customs make them

Thanks mate. I have always wanted one so I thought I better get one now before old age sets in and I'm out of the game. Going for a ride on it is the best therapy in the world as you forget about any hassles or problems you have. ( it's similar to pulling the cray pots and bagging out with 4 x 3 kilo plus monsters )

Hi Razh, it's a brand new bike so I have not had any issues with it as yet nor would I expect to. I love the cruise control especially around town, it has so much power that you can easily go over the speed limit and those ''safety'' cameras are every where. Cheers Jack

@southaussiejack558 Congratulations on your new amazing experience. You are definitely living the dream of many people, including me... I wish you nothing but the best with this. Ride safe, brother. I know you'll do your best to enjoy avoiding those annoying "safety" cameras! At least it is better to have the power and not using it, than be in need of and don't have enough... Thanks for your reply and time!

Ok for a bike after only dirt bikes?

Hi dt9019, Always had big jap bikes when I was younger but after witnessing a crash right in front of me in 1984 I sold my Kwaka 1100 a month later and swore I would never buy another road bike. I realised how big a clown I was on my big road bikes, lane filtering at 100kph between cars stopped at traffic lights, I was young and invincible. Rode it around Australia getting it up to 245kph on the Nullarbor and going past grandma and grandpa who just pulled out of a road stop at 180kph. Travelled from from Geraldton to Broome in 10 hours(ave 200kph : complete idiot). I was an accident waiting to happen. I have always wanted a Harley and the urge became irresistible before age catches up with me and I can no longer ride. Of course I ride to live nowadays and try my best to have patience and stick to the speed limit. Cheers Jack p.s. the Fatboy is a delight to ride and I try to find any excuse I can to ride it when the sun is shining and the birds are chirping
