Thanks for the tip on the yellow wire saved me a headache

What I did through reading and watching videos like these is I wrapped the black wire around the bolt that you showed here then I took the red one and got an ad a fuse from Amazon and tapped into one of the parking lamp fuses. You can literally do this in 15 minutes if you are handy

would you mind linking the fuse? trying to do this in my 2018 f150 and am stuck on the wiring portion! did you figure out the parking lamp fuse based off of your truck manual?

Just scooped up the same truck a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it.

Installed new amber lights for the truck from AVS! If you want these and need help installing comment and I'll guide you the best I can because the wiring was a bit of a challenge to understand!

I have the same AVS amber lights. Here is what I did. I flipped my lights so that the wiring comes out the passenger side(battery and fuses are on passenger side). Under the hood I connected the negative to the negative battery terminal. Ahead of the batter is a fuse panel. I used a fuse tap and tapped into fuse #34 which is a parking lamp fuse. The amber lights come on anytime the parking lights are on.

@@ededic2008 I did the same as you except I tapped into fuse number 42, also a parking lamp fuse. I must have had mine for at least six months or so before videos like these helped me to figure it out

Following your instructions got me installing mine really easy... Any chance u can do one with the AVS pro with the turn signals on it.? Im not sure where to tap into my 22 sierra for turn signal..

Just go to the fuse box put a add a fuse into the tail light terminal.

Truck looks sick man. How you like the Rough Country leveling kit? I have a ‘22 Elevation Ltd and want to get it leveled. Did a dealership install yours? Any idea if it voids any warranty? Appreciate any info on it you can share, thanks!

I just bought my 2022 GMC Sierra elevation x31. Getting a leveling kit does not void your warranty. If ever unclear about if something does always ask your dealership before hand. Congrats on your new truck btw. Hope you enjoy it. I have the rough country 2 inch leveling kit installed. I highly recommend getting the kit for the lower strut instead of the upper. Especially if you'll be installing yourself. All you'll have to do is get it aligned afterwards.

Why didn't you drill in the plastic bar and flip the light bar so your wire runs down the passenger side into the motor compartment then your battery is right there screw your ground to the battery run your red wire to the parking light fuse with a fuse tap in the fuse box. In the cover it tells you which fuse it is. It's 10 amps. I think it's number 42. At least that's what mine is in my 2021 GMC. elevation. You can put the wire in a wire protector in the motor bay. Very simple. You gave yourself more work by going in from the driver side going clear across the firewall. By the way you don't need to guess witch wire it is by going right in the fuse box. The cover will tell you witch fuse it is no tapping the factory wires. It's 2 wires guy one ground they other fuse box don't need instructions for that except maybe giving you tips on mounting the bar to the truck and light to the mount itself.
