The back of the cab:transition to bed does NOT look odd dude! It looks like a truck. Boxy. That’s something they did well with this truck. It may be small and unibody, but it looks like a truck. I’m so glad they didn’t make it all round and streamlined. I wouldn’t get it if it didn’t look like a real truck and I am getting one. Eco boost 4 x4 Latiat

Unrelated first comment from English teacher here! For confusion between "use" and "utilize", the word "utilize" is reserved for cases in which the subject is being creatively used in a way for which it was not specifically designed or not readily apparent. So you would "use" a toothbrush for brushing your teeth, but you would "utilize" a toothbrush as a shiv in jail after sharpening one of the ends. Likewise, you wouldn't "utilize" headroom for your head.

I was interested about the rear legroom. How tall are you?

FYI my first edition maverick hybrid is about 33k and it is loaded. Unfortunately the ecobost awd throws about 4 to 5k onto that price. Can't wait for my maverick. Fe has ford 360 and lariat luxury package.

Good vid👍 Drove the Lariat today. Looks better in person. Loved the interior, but not sure the ride was a nice as the Santa Cruz IMHO. I could feel more of the road cracks coming through than the Santa Cruz, but the Mav really did well when hitting bigger holes and dips. And I could definitely feel more power from the larger 2.5 in the SC. Mav does not seem to have a low enough starting gear. Over all, it felt very nice. The simplicity of the Mavs interior might win me over. Cheers

The Ecoboost has 250HP. I feel like that’s a lot for such a small truck. My big 4 door F150 I believe has 260HP and 350lb torque. It has a lot more truck to move though.

Ford officially has a truck for everyone, maverick for those who need it for maybe just their dirtbikes and boat you know something small, Ranger for those who tow and pull a little more but don’t need a full size or don’t want one, and the full size for do the absolute most lol

No, all you really need is the FordPass, I’ve owned a 2022 ford maverick Xlt for almost a month now and I can remote start using the app and can even schedule when it starts every morning or even after work so it’s a/c is kicked in when I get to it

All of them have remote start if you use the ford pass app. Only the one with the lariat luxury package has remote start on the key fob

I put in an order for an xl with the awd because it is what I can afford. I know I’m a poor but at least I don’t have a 600$ a month payment like I would with an f150. I figured The maverick would be an awesome family car when you combine the bed with a cover it would make a decent road trip rig with the awd and set of nitto all terrain winter tires and dressed up with a nice set of wheels (obviously keeping it with the 17x8 inch rim) it would just look nice and be a comfortable vehicle.

Hey no shame in it! The Maverick XL may not be an F-150 Platinum, but that doesn't mean its not an amazing truck! You get a lot for what you pay for. More power to you! Also props for trying to be financially smart.

@@GaudinX I’m trying to be I’m also looking at the price of gas and I may have to put plus in it but getting 25+ mpg with an awd vehicle. I just needed something bigger than a Dodge Dart!

I like the Maverick. It’s a cool little truck, priced right and a good value in the XLT trim level. I feel with the Lariat trim level, your upping the price and moving off target for this truck. It’s not intended nor equipped to be a luxury truck, and does not do the luxury truck dance very well. With the base XL Hybrid and the XLT FX4, your in the sweat spot for this truck.

totally agree, xlt fx4 is the way im going and the best option imo

It's a unibody, like the honda ridgeline. That's why there is no separate transition from the cab to the bed like a typical "truck".

Bingo my guy. Lariat is ranger pricing. XLT is the *best* value. Yep, NO to the XL for most people.

youre getting a basic ranger with technology from 2011 for the price of a lariat maverick. Maverick feels roomier inside. If you dont need to tow more than 4k lbs, the maverick is easily the better value

Comparing a Ford Maverick to a Mustang GT is not a good comparison. As for myself I would pay $39000 for the Maverick but not one penny for the Mustang because of where I live and what I want to do with it. That's apple's and oranges. If your going to make statements like that then use vehicles in the same class!! You might as well said that someone is stupid for paying $350000 for a Lamborghini when you can pay $27000 for an Ecosport.

It was a statement of personal preference, not a statement of comparison. I never said "you should get a Mustang over the Maverick at this price." For you it may be different and you may have your own preferences, but it was never a suggestion.
