Yeah glad NASCAR uploads these videos to KZread! I'll watch what I can when it's on regular FOX and NBC. But the ones on cable I have to catch here on KZread later. Especially Xfinity and Truck races which are never on regular tv. I can always come back here. Just wish 🤞 NASCAR WOULD NOT EDIT THE PRERACE CEREMONIES FOOTAGE OUT at the beginning.😒 🙄 I keep commenting on this but I guess nobody listens or reads it Especially @NASCAR. It's not a lot to ask.. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@@jesperPLZ Oh alsp, generally/usually a flip like Harrison Burtons results in minorish injuries, but Ryan Newman's was especially bad because of the angle he hit the wall, and the engle and area he was hit on the DRIVER side by other cars.

Thats what I don't get. These cars are nothing but ad space for sponsors and the track is littered with sponsor signage, so why are there so many commercials?

@• Histraction • Obviously its for more revenue (the network mostly) but it annoys me. If you ever watch soccer you'll notice there are no commercial breaks during the action because they utilize in-broadcast advertising. I don't expect there to be no commercial breaks during a 3 hour race but the number of them is too much. I think twice in this race a caution occurred during a break. Nascar should get creative in ways to lower the number of breaks. Start selling sponsorships to laps. "These 20 laps are bought to you by Pepsi..." and slap a pepsi logo next to the lap counter. Have the commentators market the product during the telecast. Have one of the guys in the booth sipping a pepsi. Share the revenue from that with the network as part of the TV deal. There are ways to get that revenue for both Nascar and the network without having so many disruptions in the action.

I've fallen out of NASCAR for years since one of my favorite racers as a kid left (Bobby Labonte), but looking at this now, so much has changed, but the spirit, the culture, the atmosphere, and the energy are drawing me back. Plus, I've come to realize just how hard these races were and just how mentally involved they were.

Coming from the Formula 1 middle, I never really took American motorsports very seriously (you know how Europeans are like "all they do is turn left", "that's boring"). I'd play a few little stock car mobile games here and there, until I met a friend (European too) who follows NASCAR very closely. So yeah, this Daytona 500 was the first NASCAR race I've ever watched flag-to-flag and oh boy now I feel bad for the Europeans who still think that this series is lame. I've never seen so many cars fighting wheel-to-wheel for more than 2 hours. Definitely gonna watch other races soon. 👍

First nascar race I’ve ever watched in it’s entirety. And wow 😮 what a great one it was, from start to finish.

That was one of the most exciting races I have seen in a long time, thank you 7th Gen and NASCAR

I honestly haven't watched a NASCAR race since I was like 5 or 6. Nearly 20 now, so this is probably one of the best times for me to get back into the sport.

Yes thank you so much NASCAR! Posting the full races on KZread is truly legendary!

Have to admit I miss the sound of them changing the old steel wheels.

The entire time before the race, they listed the big name drivers that have been racing for years and have never won the Daytona 500... Imagine crossing that off your list on your very first Cup Start... Holy cow.

Has any driver ever done that? Ik Bayne was close, but he had one other start. Cindric had 7 or 8 starts last season in the 33 too.

I'm on my way to Daytona right now for the 2023 daytona 500 race on Sunday. Both my dad my brother and I are going 🏁🏁🔥

These Toyotas are so beautiful. I wish there are more Toyota teams. Camaro has good rear end, mustang front end, but Toyotas are just perfect.

I was done with Brad after he pushed harrison to much, almost lost it when he wreck Ricky. Would eb cool to see both win, they both had a greta shot

Yeah, he was way too aggresive way too early. I get it, it's his driving style, but you have to be cautious when working that way with possible friendlies, now even more since he's also a car owner.

Tony Sweart as a commentator is pretty cool because he is a owner of some the racers!! A very interesting dynamic. He also sounds like a youth pastor or just a pastor in general. Ill miss Jeff Gordon, thankful for his two years he contribed, maybe more I dont remember exactly,

It was truly an honor to spectate in person at this awesome Great American Race!! (I have vids as well) While the cars will most definitely need some tuning up, they put on a good first show here at Daytona! I'm also very happy they made the opportunities to make 2 lanes work well side-by-side and no train racing as it was in 2013 with the gen 6 (minus stage 2 for the most part). Keep up the pace, NASCAR!

Went to my first dirt track speedway in Australia today at Dubbo NSW. Friggen awesome. Makes me appreciate the roots of NASCAR even more. Watched, V8 sedens, dirt modified, super demo, and 4 cylinders, NSW title on the line.

Daytona 500 = the greatest race in all of sports

As someone who lives at the other side of the pond, these uploads just makes my day, here where I live, its nearly imposible to follow the cup series, they dont even show the entire race, they just do an hour long overall highlight, so its not even entertaining tbh, thanks @nascar!

This isn't racing this is driving. A true racer would be challenging all competitors on the track. It's so very sad that this can be considered exciting by anyone.

Daytona 500 it's amazing race throughout the years. First, the major contact because of the caution come out, what a crashed! And second, Austin Cindric has won the Daytona 500 for the first time in his career. Kaho Komiya and the rest of the Houkago Climax Girls are gonna love to watch the race. 🏁

It says the race was streamed live on yt. Was it really streamed? I was looking the whole time but didn't find the livestream. Still great race and thanks to NASCAR for always putting the whole races on yt.

The good news about this year's Daytona 500 is rain did not stop the race and we haven't had a normal non-rain relay race since the 2019 Daytona 500

Hopefully that one-lug wheel and number placement go the way of the wing and splitter from the COT era.

The number placement really is no big deal. It is making the sponsors happy. Without sponsors it would be a 20 car field. Then 10. Then good by nascar.

This was a fantastic race

fun to watch indeed but as a chevy fan it's sad at the same time..

Why ask NASCAR about the 2001 Daytona 500? Sure the racing was amazing from the superspeedway rules package that had included a lipped rear spoiler and additional roof spoiler. Yes that 500 had it all, long clean green flag runs, very few cautions, big wrecks with cars flipping upside down, and an upset winner, but what it also had was Dale Earnhardt dead from his improperly installed seatbelt and other factors that killed him. Nobody will appreciate this official channel uploading the 2001 Daytona 500 in its entirety because of the unforeseen outcome.

Go watch the 1984 Daytona 500 then watch this. That generation of racers and teams were far superior and much more entertaining than this generation.

First Nascar event I've watched in 20 years, cars are much improved, finally came to the 20th century, really enjoy the drone coverage, would like to see less wrecks and more driver skill now that they have a decent car which could happen with a one car limit...no backups, maybe then we'd see some skilled driving like V8 Supercars!

Interesting to see teams loosing wheels and nascar confiscatd other teams wheels as they had drilled extra locating holes for safety

Whenever a Driver wins the Daytona 500, he/she gets the Harley J Earl trophy, a 1 million dollar cheque, a Daytona 500 winner's ring, a jacket of Daytona 500 champion, and a Rolex Watch to add to their collection. Is that right NASCAR?

@@ESowder24 not this year. NASCAR is making a wrap of what car looks like and putting it on one of its prototypes. somehow thought Penske able to put the car In the Penske museum and not use it for at least 2 More races as a car is supposed to be used at least three times before it can be retired
