Nothing in the world like IMSA! What racing between the Dpis. Can’t wait till next year when the LMDh field gets more diverse and the racing will get spicier I can imagine.

Oliver Jarvis - super nice guy, given. But he's binned so many of his own, not to mention other cars, I cannot for the life of me figure out how he still gets rides. Driving the 10 into the wall and then punting the 74 were both inexcusable for a driver of his "status".

How did the 10 not get a penalty for a pitstop in a closed pit? And even worse, how did the 10 not get a penalty for an obvious unsafe release, impeding two cars? Did Konica Minolta paid too much money to the stewards in order to get a penalty?

Time for another rant about sound. It would be nice if I could hear the commentary. For the middle part of the race I couldn't hear them at all, drowned out by the audio from the video feed. At Watkins Glen the voices were all distorted (clipping) for the first part of the race and again at the end. At Mid-Ohio or Belle Isle, can't remember which, John sounded like he got the cheap mic, like he was commentating over an old telephone. Year after year these problems continue, though thankfully the audio from Daytona was great this year. (That race is usually the worst.) I recall last year's Daytona was also good. Sebring was great this year too. An international broadcast corporation should be able to pull this off. (A high school A/V club should be able to handle the simple mixing issues, like balancing the camera bus with the voice bus.) Do you guys actually have a sound engineer? If so, maybe you need a sound producer - someone who can monitor everything (not just the studio monitors!) and notice these problems, then fix them. This is really elementary stuff that professional broadcasters should be embarrassed to present, and it gives the impression that IMSA doesn't care about production quality. This is important to me because 1) I love IMSA, 2) my hearing isn't great, and 3) it's hard to enjoy the racing I love when I spend so much time deciding whether it would be better with the sound muted. (I.e., it pulls focus from your product, and therefore your sponsors.) I have excellent equipment for playback, but give a fan watching from home something to work with! Voices should be clear above the background. That's not a big ask. It's really the basic minimum.

Thank you IMSA for the uninterrupted coverage. I do however have a couple of suggestions: I love the sound of the cars as much as anyone, but would also like to hear the commentary. During much of the coverage, the commentary was too quiet compared to the level of the car audio making it difficult to understand John & Jeremy. John Hindhaugh sounds like he's speaking into a tin can (all mid range, no bass on his voice). The sound quality of his voice has been bad (mid-range) since Bell Isle

Love the broadcasts but why does the commentary have a 1-2sec delay? It has been like this for many years. It's very annoying when there's something going on live (overtake, crash) and the commentators scream like 2 sec later after it has happened.

@@imsaofficial Thanks for answering IMSA!! Could the TV footage be delayed so it matches the commentary? In my country F1 commentary is remote too and don't seem to have the same issue. IMSA broadcasts are almost perfect, if you could get this thing right you would clearly become the benchmark for motorsport broadcasting: live, free, high quality, no ads, multiple onboard cameras, live timing... I've seen people complaining about this too. It's a shame.

38:26 To the left, just past the flag stand, always amazed how at CTMP, you are behind a simple chain link fence. There's basic Armco trackside. It's not IF but WHEN a car or several get airborne and go into people. Compare this to the entire front straight at Watkins Glen. Tall, hooped safety fence with fan seating or areas situated well back from the track. I'm surprised CTMP is still like this. Seems like an oversight.

Over the years I have come to severely dislike John Hindhaugh's commenting. He produces sensations out of nothing (I remember one race where he called a wet race for alleged rain drops on the windscreens, which were nothing more than air bubbles under the tear-offs) and too often puts himself in the shoes of the officials when he would be better off leaving it to them to judge. I often turn off the sound, unfairly to the other excellent commentors, just to escape the agony of listening to him. Back off, John! :(
