Hmm, the top speed of the 530e is listed at 235 km/h. Also judging from the acceleration, I would assume this is a 545e instead.

I think its a 530e (maybe stage 1). With the M240i 244 km/h limited he is really overtaking him. 545e would be limited at 254 or 260 at speedo.

My 2021 530E drives 259 kmh (speedo) stock… this sounds like a inline 6, so idk if its the OPF or actually the bigger brother to the 530

You’re right, 530e is 180 hp, M240i is 380 hp. There’s no way 530e can keep up as it is seen here.

Mate. I have a 530e Stage 2 with 480bhp & 640nm. And i drove last year on the Autobahn and easiy reached 280km/h or 175mph. Ans could’ve gone fore 290-300 but I didn’t want to risk it.

It feels kinda boring when the speed is limited :( but good video anyways!! 💪🏼

Because it is! I do 280 in my 135i, and limiter disabled.

Damn 240 km/h and it feels like he is going 80 Km/h , My car does 80 km/h it feels like an earthquake

Yeah, but that's 243-244 km/h on GPS, the indication on the speedo is probably very close to 260 km/h. Most BMW speedometers (as with all other brands) are at least 3-4% off.

@@claub2621 Nah bro. Previous gen Beemas had the limiter at around 260 kph (speedo) which in fact was 250-252 GPS. Now they have screwed it up, same as Mercedes did a few years ago (CLA35 AMG for instance).

My 135i 2011 tach goes to 280... The limiter on the 240i is a tragedy.

hi, it was standard but due to semiconductor shortage now the fully digital instrument display is standard.

This sound reminds me when I was in a polo gti and it was doing 260 km/h

unglaublich das sich der M240i so schwer gegen den um 82 PS schwächeren 530e tut. Dann ist der 5er noch das schwerere Auto.

It's comical to me how these new cars get neutered more and more and cost 3x the money. This has a 243kmh restriction, opf filters, an automatic, and a bunch more tech gimmicks than something like an E82 135i, or E92 M3. The older gens are more raw than the new stuff. And If you got all the money for a 240i why wouldn't you get an M2 instead?

How you get this circle speedometer? I made order for M240i and I was sad that possible is only basic speedometer :)

That‘s the cheaper so called Live Cockpit Plus. It’s not available anymore for a while due to chip shortages, only Live Cockpit Professional with two fully digital displays was deliverable. Those are both gone now, the 2 series got the new iDrive with Curved Display like for instance in the BMW iX and i4.
