I knew that it was gonna be that sort of set-up but the way it was worded was so confusing

First 3 parts were light, but part D was insane. I knew it was something to do with related rates, but the set-up was weird. Funny now seeing as it's far simpler than I was originally thinking.

Bro part D was so annoying. Next time, I'd love to collab with you and other math nerds and solve these together via Livestream. Keep up the great work!!!

This might be a dumb question, but from part b), h(x) was defined as f(x)-g(x). Could you just say A(x) = h(x) based on that?

That’s a good question and yes, you can definitely do that. You can carry h(x) forward to parts c and d. (I definitely did not think of that while writing them up!)

I would be surprised if you lose points for that. It would have been a bit confusing if you had needed that value in part d and you called the function A for area, but even then you'd be okay because a and A can be different things.
