Hope you are feeling better sir. Regarding your go pro shutting down ( I am no expert). You might check out Ken Smith Fishing on KZread. In his latest video he talked about go pro overheating issues, causes and possible models that do.better than others with the heat and.battery life.. He made interesting comment about the gyro ( probably not correct term) system in the model 8 causing Xtra work processing work inside the unit. Resulting in overheating and much shorter battery life. Anyways, thought you might find it helpful and or interesting being a go pro er. His latest video is a tournament practice video on Texoma ( but the conversation is imbedded in the dialogue of video)

You have to keep in mind that just because there isn't footage of something doesn't mean it wasn't fished. I have to cram 8 hours in to a few minutes.
